I frowned and didn't agree with her words. I said, "Madam Scott, let me ask you. If your child caused you a lot of trouble, will you dislike and disapprove of him because of this?"
She shook her head and answered, "How could I?"
I smiled and said, "So, Madam Scott, you have to believe that Tobias isn't refusing you because you can't bring him glory. Many times, what we want is just a simple meal or a hug, and all the grievances would be made right again."
Yulia looked at me, smiled, and said, "You." She sighed slightly, "I know Tobias' hatred to me is not because of this."
It seemed that she didn't want to say more. She looked at me and asked, "By the way, you haven't told me anything about yourself. What's wrong? Why were you walking around in circles? What happened to you?"
I pursed my lips and sighed slightly. I didn't know how to explain and instead spoke with a smile, "It's hard to explain."
She didn't force me. She merely gave me a faint smile and didn't say anything further.
My cell phone lit up. It was a call from Sheridan. I quickly picked up the phone and asked, "Mr. Lawson, what have you found?"
There was a bit of noise on Sheridan's side. He replied, "We have discovered that he is in the chemical plant in South City. The chemical plant had some operational issues so the government stopped its operation for a long time. Recently, people have been spotted going in and out and there are also men who are keeping watch outside. The defense there is tight, so we can't bring people in!"
I braced myself up all of a sudden and said, "Mr. Lawson, send me the address. I'll ask Tobias to figure something out, maybe he has a way to sneak in!"
Sheridan responded by sending me the address immediately.
Hanging up the phone, I looked at Yulia and said, "Auntie, I'm sorry but I can't accompany you any longer. I need to go now."
He put on his clothes coldly and went downstairs directly without saying anything. I followed him. He frowned and said, "What are you doing?"
"I'll go with you!" I spoke.
He twitched his mouth and said, "You'll only mess things up. I'll bring Hendrix back safely to you."
I would really have a mental breakdown if I continued to just wait around. I shook my head and said, "I'll go with you. I won't cause any trouble. I'm not stupid. Trust me!"
He raised his eyebrows, shrugged his shoulders and did not say anything else.
After we got into the car, he drove like he was racing. Along the way, I almost threw up. It was not easy to reach the South City and find the location where Sheridan was. His car stopped in a quiet place. The suburbs were surrounded by trees, which looked desolate and lonely.
