Hendrix asked the passersby he met but no one knows anything. Meanwhile the bodyguards followed and explained quietly, "Mr. Roberts, we lost Miss Burton on the way back to the restaurant."
"Did you see anyone suspicious?" Hendrix asked calmly.
The bodyguard shook his head and said, "I've been following Miss Burton, and I didn't see any suspicious people. However, Miss Burton deliberately left me behind."
Hendrix frowned, glanced at him, and said, "Continue to search this area!"
I narrowed my eyes in thought then interrupted Hendrix. "There's no need to search. Let's go back to the restaurant. The food is cold by now."
After that, I didn't wait for Hendrix, and immediately walked back to the restaurant. Just as I thought, Andrea had returned and was casually sitting at our table
She looked at us in surprise and said, "Hendrix, where have you been? I didn't see you for a long time and I thought you had gone back!"
I curled my lips in disdain and returned to my seat with a sneer. Then I asked the restaurant boss to start serving the dishes.
Hendrix frowned at Andrea, displeased. "Why did you turn off your phone?"
She plastered an innocent look on her face then lowered her head and took out her mobile phone from her bag. She looked back at Hendrix with a blank face and said helplessly, "I don't know. My mobile phone seems to be turned off. I don't know how this happened. What's wrong?"
Hendrix pursed his lips and replied indifferently, "Nothing!"
"You..." These words were a direct slap to her face. For a moment, tears welled up in her eyes as she looked at Hendrix with a pitiful and innocent expression. "Hendrix, I don't understand. I've always been like this. You know all of this. I'm not like what she said."
Hendrix frowned but did not support her. He just looked at her and said, "It's getting late. Let's go back to the hotel and have a good rest after dinner. Austin will probably arrive this evening." He did not intend to talk about what had just happened.
After that, Hendrix put fish into my bowl and said, "You only ate a few bites, aren't you hungry?"
"I don't have an appetite!" I said and was ready to leave.
Hendrix stopped me and asked, "What do you want to eat? We'll go eat it later."
