Hendrix walked up to me and took my hand." Austin was detained by something. It's getting late, why don't we go eat!"
Since they were already here, there was no reason to refuse. There were limited restaurants and places to eat anyway.
Once we arrived at the restaurant, I wondered if Andrea was pretending to be a little girl, or if this was usual for her. She had an innocent yet extremely coquettish act on.
It was getting on my nerves, so I chose to be silent.
After ordering the dishes, I couldn't figure out what was wrong with her brain. She pulled Hendrix aside and said that she was going to buy ice cream. Hendrix waved her off to go on her own.
After she left, I couldn't help but stare at Hendrix with my chin propped in my palms. I said, "Would you be able to relax if she goes alone?"
He smiled from ear to ear. "Mrs. Roberts, are you jealous?"
I shrugged and denied. "I'm not jealous."
He held my hand, and I felt him put something in it. Looking down, I saw a small delicate box.
I looked up at him and frowned. "What is it?"
He didn't stop smiling. "Open it and find out!"
I was shocked when I opened it. It was a gorgeous, well-designed necklace. I looked at him in astonishment and he encouraged with a smile, "Put it on."
"When did you buy this?" This necklace looked far too costly and unique to be bought off the rack.
"The last time I went back to Jarold City, the organizers gave it to me. I heard that there were only three in the world. I thought you would like it, so I brought it with me." While speaking, he had gotten impatient and had taken it out and clasped it around my neck.
Then, he hung up the phone.
Looking at his face, I guessed that they'd lost Andrea. I couldn't help saying, "Don't worry. Lancille Village is not very big. She probably just went shopping."
Hendrix nodded and looked at me, "Wait for me here. If you're hungry, you can go ahead and start eating. I'll find her and come back right away!"
I stopped him, and he looked at me in surprise. I smiled and said, "I'll go with you. A while ago, Naomi and I had toured the area. I'm more familiar than you."
He wasn't convinced. "Stay and eat, the food'll be cold later!"
"Don't worry. I'll ask the boss to just warm it up later. Let's find her together!" After a quick word to the boss, I left with Hendrix.
Lancille Village was not very big, aⁿd there were only a few places selling ice cream. Hendrix and I searched, but we didn't find her.
