My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul novel Chapter 1889

The dagger was razor-sharp, its blade reflective enough to show a clear image of one's face.

Without hesitation, the mother and son each took one of the pills and swallowed them. After taking the pills, they didn't feel anything unusual.

Cyril began to entertain hopeful thoughts.

"Manfred, is this some kind of tonic? Did you see how weak we are and decide to help us regain our strength?"

Manfred turned his gaze toward the doorway.

Two maids standing there stepped inside. "Mr. Atkinson," they greeted.

"Escort them out of Vlario," Manfred ordered coldly.

"Yes, sir."

When they heard this, Zea and her son were filled with disbelief. Could it be that he was letting them go?

Manfred was actually letting them go!

"Alright, alright! We'll leave right away. Don't worry, you'll never see us again, and we'll never return to Vlario. We won't remind you of anything unpleasant—rest assured!" Zea stumbled to her feet, speaking in a fawning tone.

Of course, her words were meant solely to placate Manfred.

Never return to Vlario? Impossible!

Once she recovered her strength, she would return to Vlario and take her grievances directly to the king.

She would make the entire world aware of how ruthless and heartless Manfred truly was. She would see to it that Manfred met a bitter end!

Dream on.

If it weren't for Vivian, he would have built a snake pit on the estate and thrown the mother and son into it. Leaving them alive now was already an act of mercy.

Terror was etched across Zea's and Cyril's faces. At that moment, they realized just how terrifying Manfred truly was.

Zea, in particular, was gripped by fear. She could already imagine that life outside Vlario would be even more miserable than it had been at the Atkinson residence.

At least within the estate, she had been able to move and eat, however meagerly. But once thrown out of Vlario, they would be a descent into true hell.

Manfred took out a silk handkerchief and carefully wiped his hands, ensuring no trace of contamination remained. Without sparing the two on the ground a single glance, he walked out of the shed.

After leaving, he headed back to see Vivian. By now, the kitchen should have finished preparing breakfast—the meal he had personally instructed them to make.
