My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul novel Chapter 1887

"Manfred, you won't die a good death! Let me go! I am the future of the Atkinson family! You're just a dog raised by our family!"

"Manfred, no matter what, I'm still your aunt. When you were little, I treated you well sometimes too. I just made some foolish mistakes over the years. Please forgive us and let us go!"

Zea and Cyril's pitiful cries shattered the quiet morning.

Vivian froze for a moment before piecing things together.

She hadn't asked Manfred what he had endured in the past two years, but now he was the head of the Atkinson family, and the entire family had to obey him. The former head, his wife and son, who had mistreated him, likely weren't faring too well now.

She wasn't a villain, but she wasn't a saint either. Those who committed wrongs must be punished.

No one could simply say, "I was wrong," and erase the monstrous sins they had committed.

It was like saying, "I killed your mother, but years later, I apologize. Let's live happily ever after as one big family." Vivian couldn't accept such nonsense repentance.

To her, if one truly knew they were wrong, then they should take responsibility and face the consequences.

When she opened the door to step out, she saw Manfred standing in front of her room, looking at her with a nervous expression.

"Did the noise wake you?"

Was she going to think he was too ruthless?

Vivian shook her head. "I usually wake up at this time. It wasn't the noise."

Seeing that she didn't seem bothered, Manfred's tightly strung nerves relaxed slightly.

"The ones shouting just now were Mrs. Atkinson and Cyril, right?" Vivian had noticed his concern, so she decided to address it.

Manfred's expression shifted slightly. "Yes. I locked them in the shed. If you think I shouldn't have done that, I'll send them out of Vlario tomorrow."

Compared to the person in front of him, his hatred for Zea and the others seemed insignificant.

Last night, the maids, worried they might freeze to death, gave them a blanket. Though it was filthy and smelly, it provided some warmth.

The two huddled under the same blanket, trying to fend off the cold.

But at dawn, two maids entered and snatched the blanket away. No matter how much they begged, it was useless.

Their breakfast was two burnt and cold sweet potatoes.

"Stop shouting! It's so early in the morning, and if you disturb Mr. Atkinson, you'll both have an even worse day! Why didn't you think about this earlier if you knew this would happen?"

Zea couldn't bear it any longer. She trembled violently from the cold. "Today is freezing, colder than ever before. Let me see Manfred! Let me talk to him!"

The maids ignored her completely.

About 15 minutes later, Manfred came.
