It all sounded a bit unbelievable. If anyone else had heard it, they might have dismissed Vivian's experience as nothing more than a dream.
But in the car, Steven, Harvey, and Paul were silent.
When they arrived earlier that afternoon, they had spoken to Bud, who had harassed Vivian. They knew what he had said to her, so when they learned that Vivian had disappeared near the massive tree, they believed her immediately.
After all, that tree had been inspected thoroughly by both them and the staff, who had repeatedly scoured the area.
"I'm certain it was Dad and Mom talking. They're trying to figure out a way to come back," Vivian said again.
Steven remained quiet for a few minutes before finally speaking. "As long as they're safe, they'll find their way back. You said they're looking for a copper mirror and that it's the key to returning, correct?"
"Yes, that's what I heard Dad say." Vivian nodded firmly.
"Finding something isn't hard. It's just a matter of time. Vivian, maybe you hearing them was destiny's way of connecting you. They'd never want to see anything happen to you. So, let's trust them and wait for their return," Steven said gently.
Vivian nodded obediently.
Harvey added, "What happened today can't happen again. If you ever want to come back here, call me first. I'll come with you."
Paul, who had been quiet until now, looked a little teary-eyed. Once the others had finished speaking, he said, "I always knew Mr. Martin and Mrs. Sullivan wouldn't just disappear for no reason. It turns out they accidentally traversed to another time. Knowing how capable they are, they'll find a way back. And I don't think we'll have to wait much longer. I'll make sure Galaxy Villa is ready for them."
Hearing Paul's words, Steven smiled and said, "In the two years they've been missing, you've already done an excellent job."
Their conversation quieted when they noticed that Vivian had fallen asleep, her eyes still swollen from crying.
What she had seen and heard today had shaken her to the core. For a woman not even 20, it was overwhelming. Even for the three men, the reality was hard to process.
She didn't know why her body felt so weak as if she didn't even have the strength to open her eyes. Perhaps it was the overwhelming emotions of hearing her parents' voice after so long.
She had been debating whether to tell them about Manfred, but she hesitated.
She worried that sharing this would only add to their burdens.
Yet, another thought lingered in her mind.
If… If she could find Manfred again, perhaps he could help her locate her parents and bring them back.
After all, the accents, attire, and other details from the place she had glimpsed through the voices bore an uncanny resemblance to the world where Manfred resided. When she first appeared in his world, a voice told her he would be the key to finding her parents.

Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
