Natalie's eyes reflected a hint of confusion. "It's not the right time yet. I'll give it some more time."
Sensing the tension, Skylar asked, "What about Mr. Powell?"
Skylar felt that Austin seemed unusually indifferent this time.
Natalie shook her head. "He hasn't reached out to me. I think he's probably thinking the same thing as I am. He probably wants to end it too."
Skylar didn't know what to say to comfort her.
Though Natalie looked a bit saddened, she spoke calmly, "When I first got together with him, I considered all the possible outcomes. Before we were married, I met his family and knew they weren't happy with me.
"But I still held on to some hope, thinking time would change things. I told myself to just try—that the process mattered more than the result. Now that I see the result, I can accept it calmly."
Skylar smiled. "I knew you'd have the right mindset."
"My mindset's always been great! We're both in our 30s now. In just a few more years, we'll be 40. What's there to not understand or worry about?" Natalie laughed, unable to hold back.
If she had experienced this ten years ago, she wouldn't have been as composed as she was now.
Just then, her phone buzzed several times with new WhatsApp messages. She glanced at it casually and saw the sender. It was none other than Austin's cousin, Pandora Cobb. The message contained several photos.
The images clearly showed Austin sitting closely with a woman. They were drinking together, their eyes meeting in a way that carried an unmistakable, intimate energy.
Then came Pandora's message.
"You need to understand that being married to Austin means accepting the demands of his career. He has responsibilities that require him to be away, and he deserves the support of a partner who understands this.
"If you can't accept that, then a divorce would be the best course of action. However, if you can adapt to this reality, the position of Mrs. Powell, with all its privileges, will be yours."
Natalie's face turned pale as she read the message. A surge of blood rushed to her head, and anger bubbled up inside her.
A warm feeling surged in Natalie's heart, and her eyes stung with the threat of tears. She waved her hand lightly. "I'm fine! If anything happens, I'll cry on your shoulder. Don't worry! I need to get to the airport now."
"Okay, drive safely," Skylar said.
…
After leaving Galaxy Villa, Natalie didn't head to the airport. There were no relatives visiting today.
Her emotions were about to spiral out of control, and she didn't want Skylar to worry.
The moment she saw those photos, the shock had nearly overwhelmed her. She had been telling herself it didn't matter, but deep down, she knew better—there was no way it didn't matter.
After all these years together, and with three children, even though she had prepared herself for the worst when they got married, she still held on to some hope. She had believed that Austin was different.

Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
