Chapter 628 The Approaching Crisis

The office was sealed.

That setup must have been planned a long time ago.

When Robert finished speaking, Colin frowned and asked, "Where's Alexander?"

Robert replied, "The police station."

Colin said coldly, "Get down now. Let's go to the police station."

After Colin finished speaking, he hung up the phone and dialed Ethan's number.

The ringtone rang for a while. Then, Ethan picked it up and said, "Colin."

Colin said succinctly, "Come with me to the police station."

Ethan asked, "Now?"

Colin answered, "Yes. Now."

Ethan paused for a while and said, "I'll see you at the police station in an hour."

After hanging up the call with Ethan, Colin put away his phone and stretched his legs with a thoughtful expression.

After a while, Robert got down from the elevator and opened the driver's seat door, "Mr. Farrell."

Colin stepped out of the car and said, "You drive."

After that, Colin walked to the back of the car, opened the rear door, and got into the car.

Robert closed the car door for Colin with discernment. After he got into the car, he told Colin while he was fastening his seat belt, "It's a big mess this time. Mr. Hayes called me just now and said that he might be unable to cover it up."

Colin looked gloomy and said, "I am wondering whether he isn't capable to do so or he takes the offers from Brandon."

Robert replied, "I have checked it. They seem clean. No trace could be found."

Colin sneered with a smile on his face, "Such a cunning man."

Hearing Colin's words, Robert pursed his lips and turned the steering wheel without making any comment.

More than an hour later, the car arrived at the police station.

Colin got out of the car and walked into the police station. As soon as he entered the door, an older police officer approached him and said with a smile, "Mr. Farrell."

Colin smiled back insincerely and said, "Mr. Preston."

The other party replied, "Why are you calling me Mr. Preston? Just call me Kenneth will do, Mr. Farrell."

Colin chuckled. He didn't continue the topic with Kenneth and asked "Where's he?"

Kenneth asked, "Are you looking for Mr. Smith? He is in the interrogation room."

Colin said, "I want to see him."

When Kenneth heard the words, an awkward smile appeared on his face, and he said, "Mr. Farrell, I'm afraid it's impossible for now. Honestly speaking, Mr. Smith's crime this time isn't a misdemeanor. He is the main..."

Before Kenneth could finish speaking, Colin glanced coldly at him.

When Kenneth saw Colin's expression, he shut up abruptly and his heart dropped.

Robert answered, "Mr. Hayes, it's me. Robert Sellers."

Mr. Hayes didn't say a word.

Hearing that Mr. Hayes didn't speak, Robert didn't care much, and continued, "Mr. Farrell is at the police station now. He wants to discuss something with you in person."

Mr. Hayes remained silent for a moment. Then, he smiled and replied tactfully, "Robert, it just so happens that I am not in the police station today."

After that, Mr. Hayes asked deliberately, "Why does Mr. Farrell ask for me?"

Robert turned his head around to look at Colin without answering his question.

Colin sneered and looked down at the watch on his wrists.

Robert replied, "Mr. Hayes, I think you should come to the police station."

Robert's tone was gentle. But as long as the listener wasn't a fool, he could hear there was a sense of threat in his words.

Mr. Hayes's voice suddenly became serious and asked, "What do you mean by that, Robert?"

After Mr. Hayes finished speaking, Robert said with a smile, "It doesn't mean anything. There is an innocent citizen in the police station's interrogating room now, who has been wronged, and the case is complicated. The officers over here might be unable to investigate it properly. Mr. Farrell would like to ask you to be the in-charge of the case."

Mr. Hayes didn't know how to respond.

Robert made a valid statement. Mr. Hayes wanted to refute but he hold it back. He said in a stern voice, "I'm afraid I won't be able to make it there any time soon."

Robert didn't continue the conversation and hung up the call right there.

After the call was disconnected, Kenneth, who was standing beside him was sweating profusely. He asked, "Mr. Farrell, would you like to go to the interrogating room to see Mr. Smith first?"
