Chapter 2307

The man looked at Ava and seemed to ponder for a few seconds. Just as he was about to speak, the door of the apartment opened.

Raegan was wearing an apron and holding a spatula in her hand. She looked like she had been busy cooking in the kitchen.

When she saw the man standing at the door with Ava, Raegan was obviously stunned. “D-Did you guys come together?”

“Tran into her downstairs,” the man explained as the expression on his face changed subtly. Even the way that he was looking at Ava began to become very unusual.

As soon as Ava heard this, she immediately confirmed that this man was the neurologist she was supposed to meet tonight.

The scene seemed to pause for a moment. Raegan then hurried back to her senses and opened the door for them. “Come in. Come in and talk.” 2 Raegan said before facing Ava again with a loving smile. “Come in, Ava.”

Ava thought that she could discuss Daniel’s condition with this expert soon, so she nodded obediently and walked into the apartment.

The man looked at Ava, who entered the door with a smile. He stood at the door for a long time, not doing anything else.

From the look in his eyes, his mind seemed to have drifted far away. His eyes were out of focus, but they were fixed on Ava’s face.

When she saw the man looking at her absent- mindedly, Ava was curious, but she still smiled politely and said, “Doctor, please come in.”

When the man heard that, he suddenly returned to his senses. Even so, he still looked like he was in a trance.

He walked in to change his shoes but never once took his eyes off Ava.

“Is your name Ava? You’re Ava Long?” The man seemed to change his shoes absentmindedly, but he was watching Ava change her shoes witha serious gaze.

Ava sat down without hesitation.

“I heard that you’ re a very good interior designer. Is that so?” the man asked. He put on an unusually gentle and friendly smile that reached his handsome brows.

Ava was quite surprised and glanced at Raegan. “ Did my mother tell you this as well?”

Upon hearing this, the man was stunned fora moment. Then, he smiled and said, “I just asked her casually at the time and she just replied.” Even at this point, Ava did not think there was any problem with the man's answer.

However, from the looks of it, Ava felt that the doctor and Raegan seemed to share some sort of relationship. If they did not know each other, how could he talk to her like this?

Ava thought to herself and asked doubtfully, “Dr. Long, do you and my mother know each other?”
