Madeline Crawford and Jeremy Whitman novel Chapter 2054

Shirley’s words revealed an indifferent attitude.

She  seemed  to have no expectations  for the future.

“Addy died, and Cathy also died because she was implicated. I can’t escape from my guilt. Plus, I look like this now. If I couldn’t atone for my sins even while alive, it’s better to let the sickness slowly torment  me to death. I’ll just  think of it as a relief. ”

Madeline wanted to comfort the pessimistic Shirley, but suddenly she heard Lillian cough.

Madeline knelt in front of Lillian nervously. “Lily, are you feeling unwell?”

Lillian blinked her pure, crystal-clear, big eyes, shook her head slightly, and said one word, “ Daddy.”

“Do you miss Daddy, Lily?” Madeline asked with a gentle smile.

Lillian nodded seriously and opened her mouth slightly. “Mommy, Daddy.”

“Lily, you should stay with her, and behave. I’ll come to pick you up in a few days. Then, you’ll be able to see your father, brother, and younger brother.”

Madeline soothed her softly. It was hard to tell such a small child that she could not actually bring her away.

However, Lillian was really sensible. Although she did not know what the situation was, she was very obedient. Madeline asked her to stay with Shirley, so she would stay with Shirley.

When she saw Lilian, nodding obediently. Madeline felt more distressed and hugged the little princess.

“Lily, I promise I will come and take you home. You have to wait for me obediently, ” Madeline promised Lillian repeatedly. She was extremely reluctant to let go, but for Lillian’s safety, she truly could not act rashly.

“Don’t worry, I will protect your daughter, ” Shirley assured Madeline. “I think Carter hasn’t completely lost his humanity. He won’t really take action on such a young child. The person he wants to take action against the most should still be Jeremy.”

“Eveline, you should go,” he said, chasing Madeline away with a dark face.

Madeline caressed Lillian’s small face reluctantly; Madeline still maintained a gentle and benevolent smile on her face. “Lily, I’ll be leaving now. You have to be a good girl and listen to Miss Shirley. ”

Lillian blinked and nodded.

Madeline smiled knowingly. She then turned her head to look into Shirley’s eyes before turning around. At the same time, her gaze became sharper and cooler.

“Eveline, I shall remind you not to try to ask Fabian and his gang to save them. Otherwise, you’ll bear the consequences.”

“You don’t have to threaten me.” Madeline lifted her sharp and cold eyes to look at him. “Carter, I shall also remind you not to hurt my daughter in any way. Otherwise, I’ll make you regret it as well. ”
