The demon instructors disagreed, though. The campus rule strictly prohibited anyone from flying in their true form, and the Demon Control Agency's regulations were even more stringent, forbidding it within the city limits!
Shannon and Kai might not have gone against campus rules, but they sure had broken the one from the agency.
While the instructors and students grumbled about them, Shannon and Kai remained unperturbed.
Kai, with Shannon in tow, concealed their presence and swiftly maneuvered through the clouds, following the direction guided by the sense of Shanny Gold.
Shanny Gold and Benji Gold both came to life from Benjamin's golden light, but it seemed that the former, having always been by his side, was the only one able to sense his location.
As they drew closer, Shanny Gold began to detect the familiar energy.
Through the layers of clouds, Shannon finally caught a glimpse of that familiar golden light. The ever-brilliant glow, always able to stand out amidst the chaos of the world, allowed her to spot his presence instantly.

He turned to ask Shannon, who was supposed to be on his back, but before he could finish his words, he found his back completely empty.
Kai was stunned for a moment, then, as if realizing something, he let out a shriek, abruptly twisting his wyrm body and shooting straight down like an arrow.
"Whispered breeze, heed my call. Swiftly carry, rise and enthrall."
Her rapidly falling body was soon supported by a gentle breeze, slowly guiding her toward the location of the golden light.
Although it was May, the ground below was covered in a carpet of golden leaves that should have belonged to deep autumn. It was a sea of maple leaves.
Shannon's feet were surrounded by the soft, swirling breeze, sending layers of fallen leaves flying around her. The golden maple leaves danced in the air as she touched down, creating a beautiful, shimmering spectacle.
Through the fluttering golden canopy, she finally saw that long-awaited, familiar golden glow.
Benjamin…
He stood with his back to her beneath the ancient, towering maple tree, his golden light seemingly enveloping the entire world. Then, within that radiant golden light, he slowly turned, his gaze meeting hers…
