Shannon's heart sank as she realized the demons were splitting up to escape.

Cornelius realized that too. Without hesitation, he sprinted and chased after the two fleeing demons. "I'll handle them!"

Yet, one flew, and the other ran on the ground. Cornelius was just one demon, so how could he possibly catch them both?

Shannon knew that too. As she dodged the leader's attack, she called out, "Albany." It was its time to shine.

The leader's face twitched with caution at the mention of the name. Just as he wondered if it was some powerful array, a wisp of black smoke floated out from the bag slung across her shoulder.

Immediately after, masses of black smoke erupted with something enveloped within them. It shot out of her bag accompanied by a bold and domineering roar only Shannon could hear.

"Albany is here!"

The system executed a flawless 180-degree aerial spin. As the swirling black smoke dispersed, it revealed its true form as the King of Testudines.

The system had practiced this grand entrance countless times. Not only did it need to be cool, but it had to leave an impact. It was no longer the tiny tortoise who had to secretly push open a bag flap to peek outside.

Though it was obsessed with its cool entrance, it didn't forget the real battle at hand.

Its eyes locked onto its airborne target. As the black smoke surged, it launched toward the fleeing evil demon in the sky.

It was just the sky. There was no place in this world where Albany couldn't reach!

The demon carrying two young demons in the sky felt smug. Those two juvenile demons chasing earlier weren't birds, and no one could catch him once he got high enough.

The system cursed and forcefully withdrew the smoke tornado at the very last second.

With the fight at a standstill, Shannon wanted to help, but the leader in front of her kept her pinned down.

That was when she heard a familiar yet childishly fierce voice shout, "Shannon, we're here!" It was Rylan, Derek, and young demons from her class.

Before Shannon could wonder why they were here, Rylan and Derek along with the young demons spread their wings and shot into the sky like arrows. They aimed straight for the airborne evil demon.

At the same time, Derek shouted, "Tootsie, Diesel, charge!"

Two young demons below him shifted into their true forms of a porcupine and bull respectively. Derek and two others grabbed their transformed friends and hurled them into the sky with a mighty heave.
