Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1611

Reuben seemed to have expected Shannon's reaction all along.

"Although Zaprath and mystic schools have no formal connections, you have Thalia's precedent, so allowing you to enroll as an exchange student won't be difficult."

In other words, she didn't need to drop out of the mystic school and just had to temporarily enter the Zaprath School of Demon Arts as an exchange student.

Of course, Thalia's precedence referred to when she'd left the demonic school and fox clan to join the mystic school on her own accord.

Shannon, on the other hand, would be entering officially as an exchange student. That was a completely different situation.

Shannon's expression softened slightly at this. After a moment of thought, she asked, "How long is the exchange program?"

Reuben glanced at her. "That depends on how quickly you can learn to control your supernatural powers."

Shannon had come to Jamborough for that purpose. Though she could sense Reuben hiding something, she nodded. "Alright."

Hearing her agreement, Reuben looked at her and smirked slightly.

Thalia was finally done with her "friendly exchange" with Marilyn and hurried over. She hadn't suffered any visible wounds though she looked slightly disheveled and messy.

After hearing the ringing bells from the Soul Tree and seeing Shannon standing next to Reuben, she warily approached.

Scanning Shannon from head to toe, her gaze finally landed on the tender yellow leaf in the latter's hand.

Thalia froze. Then as if a thought struck her, she whipped around and glared at Reuben. She knew he was up to no good! She'd just left briefly, and Reuben had set Shannon up!

Shannon had suspected this leaf wasn't as simple as Reuben had claimed, and seeing Thalia's reaction, she couldn't help feeling slightly uneasy.

The Soul Tree was a thousand-year-old entity of the fox clan, and its decision was absolute. Even the clan leader had to abide by it.

At this point, Shannon understood Reuben had done it on purpose. She turned to look at him, and though her expression wasn't angry, she did feel that her so-called uncle was acting a little childish.

"If I reach the elementary class' graduation standards, can I move up to a higher level?" Shannon asked in a genuinely serious tone.

Reuben raised an eyebrow. "Yes."

Shannon smiled slightly. "I have nothing against that then."

Starting from a kindergarten class didn't matter since she'd just pass the tests and move up.
