Shannon's reputation and abilities were well-known, even to the renowned actor Presley. He'd seen videos of her using mystic arts to help people and thought of her as a respectable mystic master.
But witnessing the scene in person today left him deeply disappointed. Shannon relied on her skills to have her phantom helper bully Bella in public!
At first, Presley's fans consoled themselves that he was simply stepping in to protect a bullied lady. But his protective stance and questioning tone toward Shannon left little room for doubt.
Some fans felt heartbroken as if they'd just experienced a sudden breakup. Yet the die-hard supporters stood by Presley and agreed Shannon had gone too far.
Everyone knew there was a line and boundary that shouldn't be crossed in duels. The way Shannon had Leah do all the dirty work on her behalf was definitely crossing the line for some viewers.
Olivia and Eddie couldn't believe how Presley had turned the narrative against Shannon. As the latter's former teammates, they weren't about to let him get away with it.
Olivia stepped forward and said, "If I'm not mistaken, Bella was the one who attacked Shannon's phantom helper first, and that was why Shannon suggested a fair match between them.
"The entire process was streamed live, and Shannon never lifted a finger. How's that bullying?"
Eddie chimed in, "Everyone knows lightning conflicts with ghosts and malevolent forces. Bella's first thunder talisman move was aimed at obliterating Leah entirely.
"You didn't say she was being a bully then, and now that she's taken two slaps without even getting hurt, it's suddenly bullying? Isn't that a double standard?"
Presley frowned at the two. "You said it yourself that she's a ghost. As a mystic master, what's wrong with Bella trying to eliminate it?"
Leah was infuriated beyond measure and couldn't hold back anymore. She'd just managed to vent her anger with two well-deserved slaps, only for another fool to show up.
Her ghostly figure turned solid and menacing as she glared at Presley. Then, she questioned in a chilling tone, "So, ghosts don't have rights, huh? By your logic, shouldn't I be allowed to kill her too if it's okay for her to kill me?
The scene fell into dead silence before there was a sudden scoff. Xavier was the first to break into laughter.
When they all turned to look at him, he simply chuckled with a nonchalant expression.
Most others hesitated to laugh as they were wary of Presley's status as a top-tier actor, but Xavier didn't care. He was an Anderson, while his mother was Annalise, and that made him part of the Jensen family. He had nothing to fear.
Perhaps encouraged by Xavier's boldness, the monkey demon nearby tilted its head and mimicked his actions. It covered its mouth and let out a mischievous scoff.
The atmosphere became strangely awkward yet humorous.
Presley's ears flushed red. This was his first time experiencing such blatant ridicule in public since his rise to fame.
