Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1384

Recalling what Benjamin told her last night, Shannon replied to Lexie, "Go ahead."

While she was at it, she should enjoy it.

When Shannon headed downstairs with Benjamin, they were greeted by a smiling Harlan standing by the dining table. In his hands were Tortoise the System, which had been sent flying off the building earlier.

"Did you two rest well?" Harlan passed the tortoise to Shannon, continuing, "The villagers picked this up just now. I checked, and it's still alive. What a strong tortoise."

"Thank you, Mr. Boyle." Shannon courteously retrieved the tortoise and stuffed it into her mystic chest.

Harlan smiled at her movement. "The villagers didn't mean harm. They simply hadn't encountered such pure spiritual energy in a long while and couldn't resist coming over. I hope they didn't scare you."

He spoke so casually that it made Shannon hesitate to pursue the matter further. When they sat down and saw the delftware, they became more confident in their theory.

They weren't in a hurry to get to the bottom of things. Once they quietly finished their breakfast and put down their utensils, Lexie and others happened to arrive.

Harlan said, "The person you're looking for, Emeralda Stone, is back this morning. I'll bring you guys to her now."

He led the group, and during the journey, he explained, "She's different from us; she prefers to bury herself and sleep underneath the soil, saying the underground has more spiritual energy.

"But I guess that's normal. She's a grave good, to begin with." Harlan suddenly turned to Shannon's group, asking, "You guys don't discriminate against grave goods, right? Many people think they're ominous."

Meanwhile, Lexie and Fennec, who were already baffled, became flabbergasted at that point. Shannon and Benjamin, however, nodded calmly. "We don't."

Along the way, Harlan introduced everyone to them. "This family is a 12-piece set of blue celadon."

"This is the noble lady's house. She's holding a silk parasol."

"This is the sacrificial tripod. He likes walking with his own true form on the back."

As they listened to Harlan's words, Lexie and the others initially felt uneasy, but the more they listened, the more they began to sense something was off.

Eventually, she seemed to realize something, and her expression darkened, falling into silence. She glanced toward Shannon, seemingly trying to confirm her suspicions.

Shannon merely nodded slightly in response.
