Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1363

Benjamin muttered, "The specifics of a date have never mattered. What's important is that we're together."

The classic ideas of a perfect date felt optional to him. He didn't see the appeal of such activities on their own. It was only Shannon's presence that made those moments less mundane.

"So, whatever you want to do is fine with me," he said.

His voice was deep and slightly cold. It wasn't exactly gentle, but it struck a subtle chord in Shannon's heart.

"Alright," she responded.

They didn't rush to leave and stayed in the reception room.

Shannon pulled out her phone and took out another talisman to press it to the back of her phone. After activating it with spiritual energy, a moving image appeared on the screen.

Benjamin raised an eyebrow. This was the surveillance talisman used during the college tournament. Not only had she learned to draw it, but she'd also grasped its application.

On the screen, a live feed of Brooklynn's perspective came into view.

"You think there's more to that Stone Spirit?" Benjamin asked.

Shannon nodded. "She claimed to have been created after her creator began forgery, but an artisan who's lost their spiritual energy to their art has almost no chance of creating an enlightened stone.

"So, I think she must've been enlightened through an external force."

When she'd restrained Brooklynn with the spiritual light chains earlier, she'd detected a faint but distinct trace of energy. She recognized it as the energy of black smoke.

It reminded her of the black smoke she'd encountered during her investigation of the demon bone accident.

She doubted this was just a coincidence. The real question now was whether Brooklynn was tied to the smoke-shrouded man she'd confronted in Arenvale.

The two silently watched as Brooklynn on the screen boarded a car.

The car drove through several streets before arriving at what seemed to be a workshop. Inside, stones and finalized products were haphazardly scattered around.

Before she could react, the man swiftly attacked and sent a surge of black smoke toward the screen.

The talisman affixed to the back of Shannon's phone ignited and burned away instantly. Then, the screen turned dark.

In just one exchange, the man had discovered the talisman on Brooklynn, which Shannon had masked.

From his attack, Shannon was certain that he was part of the Black Smoke Organization, and he was far more formidable than Alaric.

Now the question was—what were Brooklynn and the Black Smoke Organization planning in cahoots? Was it related to the artifacts behind the counterfeits? Or was it the spiritual energy embedded within these ancient pieces?

Shannon's eyes flickered as she recalled something.

Then, she turned to Benjamin and uttered a name, "Hank."

More accurately, she was referring to the Mini Stone Turtle in Hank's possession.
