"Do you remember how I promised I'd tell you something about yourself if you resolved the case?"
Seemingly annoyed by Jordan's mystifying act, Shannon pulled a straight face and countered, "If you're trying to tell me that I don't exist in the alternate world, you're late."
Her words resembled a thunderstrike in not only Jordan's but also Hank's head. The former's face stiffened. "Did that other reincarnator tell you that? Well, that's no fun."
He was visibly displeased that he wasn't the one to offer that revelation to her.
Hank was naturally flustered, chiming into their conversation. "What do you mean you don't exist? What are you two talking about?"
However, Shannon simply spared him a glance. Instead, Jordan kindly explained, "It means, in a parallel world we call the alternate world, Shannon Jensen doesn't exist. From the start, she had never been born."
He enunciated himself so clearly that Hank had to process his statement word by word.
Shannon, the subject of the conversation, was unfazed and calm. It wasn't that the news was unsurprising; she simply had reacted when she first heard it from Clara.
It took Clara a while to contemplate whether she would tell Shannon the truth. After all, it sounded horrifying.
In her previous life, there had never been a girl called Shannon Jensen in the Jensen family. In fact, not even Hector had existed. That was because Adam never got married, to begin with.
"Adam spent his whole life unmarried, while Hank had an elder brother, who died when he was a child. Alex and Linda did get divorced, but it didn't happen so early…"
Triston, accompanied by another Special Security Agent, strode in and directly addressed Jordan, "At the Special Security Agency, we don't need evidence to capture anyone."
Shannon fell silent. Though she had said this before, she didn't sound this pretentious… Did she? Probably not.
While she was distracted in her thoughts, Triston and the other agent had apprehended Jordan. Surprisingly, he didn't resist and left with the two agents.
Before leaving, he turned to Shannon and said, "I'm keeping my end of the promise. Since you already knew about that matter, I'll tell you another thing."
He stated, "A cockroach hides within Seastone U. And those eight people? They're related to the cockroach."
