Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1313

Though Fennec appeared weak and gentle, she showed no mercy in fighting the guards, who were stopped at the stairs.

Layne was about to lose his patience when a commotion came from downstairs.

Everyone turned to see Shannon and Kai walking out, followed by a young man with a massive python coiled around him.

Layne immediately recognized the python as the python he'd just acquired. He was about to curse, but the words stuck in his throat as if an invisible hand was choking him.

The same went for his bodyguards and security team. Their eyes were wide with shock and terror as they instinctively took several steps back at the scene behind Blossom.

A swam of snakes of all shapes, sizes, and patterns were following him. The mass of slithering bodies moving in eerie unison was enough to make anyone's skin crawl.

They followed silently and obediently behind the group, but there was an air of menace around them.

With just one glance, Layne realized they were all part of his collection. He wanted to demand their return, but his words refused to come out. He might enjoy playing with snakes, but a swarm of them was an entirely different thing altogether.

"Who… Who are you people?" Layne tried to keep his composure, but his trembling voice betrayed his growing fear.

Poisy coiled around Blossom and suddenly raised her head at Layne's voice. Her cold, piercing gaze locked onto him.

As if in response to her actions, the other snakes slithering on the floor raised their heads and adopted threatening postures.

Layne's knees nearly gave out, and he had to grab a nearby bodyguard for support as he instinctively retreated a few steps. This was the first time the snakes he adored filled him with terror.

Layne watched helplessly as they left, and his heart was filled with bitter resentment. He comforted himself that he could always catch or buy more snakes later.

Still, Shannon was acting far too arrogant. He vowed to find a way to teach her and the Jensens a lesson.

As he stewed his anger and made up a plan, he failed to notice Poisy's head peeking out from Blossom's shoulder as they left. Her vertical pupils fixed on him with icy malice.

Unbeknownst to Layne, he'd just been targeted by a vengeful serpent demon. Not only would his future schemes amount to nothing, but his eventual downfall would be tragic and irreversible.

Outside the villa, Shannon turned to look at the building and pondered its abnormality. After some thought, she called Adam. "Dad, I want to buy a villa."
