Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1310

The python moved with incredible speed, and its body hurled toward the men. Their hearts leaped to their throats until there was a deafening thud.

The python's massive body collided with the thick glass and slid to the floor in pain and frustration. Simultaneously, a hidden array within the basement activated and ruthlessly drained the supernatural energy the python had managed to gather.

Shannon had planned to wait until the next day to help Blossom find Poisy, but the connection through the serpent's egg revealed that Poisy's vitality was rapidly weakening.

Urgency struck her. She dismissed any thought of rest and brought Blossom and Fennec along. They traced Poisy's location overnight.

After some effort, they arrived at the gates of a well-known luxury villa complex in the suburbs. The area was heavily regulated, and unauthorized vehicles weren't permitted entry.

Shannon pondered briefly and decided to call Adam. After learning she was working late and mentioned the villa complex, he said, "I don't have a property there, but I did buy a house for Maria. I'll make a call."

He briefly hung up and called back a few minutes later. "I've informed them. Don't come back if it gets too late. Take a rest in the villa. It's well-maintained and fully stocked."

Shannon wasn't planning to stay but politely agreed.

After hanging up the phone, the property management allowed their vehicle to pass. Following Shannon's instructions, the driver brought them to a secluded standalone villa deep within the complex.

As soon as Shannon stepped onto the villa grounds, she sensed something unusual. It wasn't an eerie trace of negative energy or supernatural energy but an inexplicable sense of disharmony.

Though she couldn't immediately discern the source, she was certain something was terribly wrong with the villa.

He was utterly baffled. The villa was a private retreat meant to keep his snakes. Since his family feared snakes, only he or like-minded friends in the circle ever visited, and they always informed him beforehand. He couldn't think of anyone who'd visit at such a late hour.

When he heard that the visitor was Shannon, the recently reunited daughter of the Jensens, he felt an inexplicable sense of unease.

Shannon was widely known as a mystic master, after all.

Though confused, Layne greeted them warmly and invited them into the house. He hid his irritation after noticing the large group and forced a smile.

"Hello, Ms. Jensen! I've met your father a few times. To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit so late in the evening?"

He smiled kindly, but Shannon's gaze shifted from his face to his wrist. He was wearing a bracelet made from the bones of small snakes. The beads had been polished to a smooth and glossy surface.
