Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1226

"Wait—hold on!"

Mike and Lexie were the first to react. They swiftly positioned themselves before Shannon, shielding her from others, and the eager curiosity for gossip vanished from their faces.

"Are you here to poach her?"

And they were doing it in front of the Seastonians!

Due to the commotion, the lecturers from the Northgate and Jamborough Schools noticed something off and quickly approached them.

The lecturer from Northgate, Caesar Jacome, heard Myla's words and chimed in. "That's right. The Northgaters would love to welcome a fellow student like you, Shannon. Please give it some thought."

Solomon wore a smile. "I'll say it—you guys are underestimating her abilities. Given her immense gift in talismanic arts, she'll have no problem being a lecturer herself."

He then turned to Shannon. "The Jamborough School would like to invite you to serve as a guest lecturer. Feel free to bring up any conditions you may have, Shannon."

The sudden appearance of the two mystic school representatives rendered those at the scene at a loss.

Before Logan and the Seastonians could make their case, a cold, teen voice interrupted. "Didn't you already accept our offer, Shannon?"

Huh? The group cocked their heads in unison to the voice and became even more speechless when they realized it was Cornelius speaking.

Why would the Demon Control Agency poach Shannon? What did they have to do with anything here?

Without arguing with the juvenile demons, she focused solely on Cornelius and said, "If I remember correctly, you're not a demon from the Demon Control Agency. Therefore, I'm not obligated to inform you about my decision."

And if her memory served her right, Cornelius had been hostile to her since the first duel of the tournament. Shouldn't he be the last person who would want to see her infiltrating the Demon Control Agency?

Cornelius prepared to explain when Steen quickly interjected, "He may not be part of the agency yet, but he'll soon be!"

The chief said they could enroll in the agency in advance if they won the tournament. Although they didn't win this time, they participated in all the duels.

There should be a participation prize for their effort, right? At least that was what Steen and the other juvenile demons believed.
