The reason Shannon suspected the teacher, Devon Archer, was the bully was that this place carried a grudge the evil spirit harbored while alive.
Generally, evil spirits would return to locations where their grudge was the strongest. If they returned, they'd want to seek revenge on those who'd tormented them.
Devon was manipulated by the evil spirit into jumping off the building. That was its revenge.
Shannon thought about it and searched for more information on Devon who'd jumped. Sure enough, she found a report with some details about him, but that wasn't the key point.
The key point was that she found a picture of Devon's official ID.
Mike and the other leaned in to take a look. Their brows furrowed at seeing Devon's face. "His face is asymmetrical, and his eye sockets are too deep. He doesn't look like a good guy.
"There's a dark hue between his brows and signs of bad love luck. He looks just like a lecher."
As if a thought crossed her mind, Lexie's eyes widened. "Could he… have been harassing someone?"
Students might bully others if they found someone unpleasant or weak, but when teachers bullied students, it often had darker and more shameful motivations. It could be a student's report or the teacher harboring vile intentions.
If that was the case…
Lexie couldn't help but ask, "Is this guy dead?"
Shannon shook her head regretfully. "He's still alive."
Though Devon had been controlled to jump off the building, it wasn't too high. The report mentioned broken bones and a ruptured spleen. He was currently in the hospital.
Just as the student was about to pass them, Elliot suddenly felt the ghost bottle move slightly in his hands. He was startled and blurted out, "That girl… She…"
Lexie reacted swiftly. She turned and grabbed the student's sleeve. "Hey, you dropped something!"
The sudden tug sent the student stumbling, and her stack of exam papers scattered all over the ground. Well, now something had really dropped.
The student panicked and immediately crouched to gather the papers. The team quickly followed suit and helped her pick up the scattered sheets.
As Lexie picked up the papers, she inched closer to the student and apologetically said, "Sorry about that."
The student glanced up at her for a brief moment before quickly lowering her head again. She softly murmured, "It's okay."
