When Skylar returned to the villa, Shannon and the others were serving dinner. They were surprised to see him walk in.
Though he'd said he'd be back, no one had expected it to just be a short trip home.
He'd gone home, after all. Even if he wasn't planning to stay the night, shouldn't he at least stay for dinner? Had they sent him away without giving him a meal?
Skylar met their strange gazes and noticed the lavish spread of dishes on the table. Only then did he realize it was dinnertime.
But he wasn't in the mood to eat and said, "You guys eat." Then, he headed upstairs to the room he'd chosen for himself.
Mike and the others exchanged horrified looks. "Do you think Skylar got bullied?" Mike asked.
Lexie whispered, "I don't think so. He looks the same as always."
"You don't understand men, especially a man like Skylar who's so uptight and prideful," Mike replied.
Elliot chimed in softly, "He does seem a little down." Well, a little more down than usual.
Shannon thought about it before getting up and heading upstairs. Mike and the others immediately followed her like little tails.
When they reached the second floor, they saw Shannon knock on Skylar's door. Once he opened it, she asked, "Were you bullied?"
The little tails behind her were utterly baffled by the way she'd chosen to ask the question.
Sure enough, Skylar froze briefly before rolling his eyes at her. "Do you think that's possible?"
"It doesn't seem impossible. If not, come downstairs and eat," Shannon replied.
"I'm not hungry," Skylar said as he turned to retreat into his room.
The tails behind Shannon rushed forward. Mike grabbed his arm. "You're not fasting, so how could you not be hungry? Come on. Let's go."
Its buildings and facilities were modern and aesthetic.
As the main characters, Shannon's group entered under Isaac and Logan's lead, and they immediately drew the attention of the crowd.
Most of the gazes landed on Shannon and Skylar accompanied by murmurs.
For Shannon, her recent popularity stemmed from the Sixth Sense livestream that sparked nationwide interest in mystic arts.
But for Skylar, it was the fact that he was the rightful heir to the Rutherford family. Yet though he was a direct Rutherford, the fact that he'd chosen to join the Seastone School of Mystic Arts raised questions.
Skylar ignored the curious stares. As the leader of the six-member team, he confidently led them to their designated seats.
Coincidentally, their seats were right next to students from Northgate School of Mystic Arts. As soon as they took their seats, they found themselves staring at a familiar face.
