Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1010

Yvette left as abruptly as she came.

Just as she said, she was only here to deliver a gift. Once the gift was handed over, she left.

She never revealed who sent the gift and only that their last name was Wright. Though it wasn't Wynthorpe, Shannon was inexplicably intrigued.

She opened the box and found a pair of intricately engraved antique silver bells inside.

"Bells?" Scott standing nearby couldn't help showing his disdain. The sender went through all the trouble of having the gift delivered, only for it to be such an insignificant item.

The bells looked less like a birthday present and more like a blessing gift for a baby.

Shannon was equally puzzled by the gift. But beneath her confusion, there was a subtle tinge of unexplainable disappointment.

First, it was Alaric, and now Yvette. What was supposed to be a simple birthday celebration now turned into something much more emotionally complicated.

Benjamin seemed to notice her subtle change in mood and said, "You've received gifts from others, and mine should be arriving soon."

Shannon shot him a confused look. "Haven't you already given me a gift?" She gestured toward her new handbag, where Bentrix Stone was.

There was a flash of unfathomable emotion in Benjamin's expression at her mention of Bentrix Stone, but it soon returned to normal. "That was one gift. I have another for you."

As he spoke, he reached out to take her hand. Shannon blinked and was puzzled, but she decided to place her hand in his.

Benjamin held her hand and led her away from the crowd to head in a specific direction.

One was the main character of the evening, and the other was a formidable presence. Their actions immediately drew the attention of guests.

Scott's first reaction was to follow them, but as soon as he stepped forward, Hector stopped him with an outstretched arm.

Hector smiled at him with the usual gentleness in his eyes as he said, "Don't meddle in their business."

Shannon had first been bewildered, but her attention was soon drawn to the view before her.

The castle's second-floor terrace wasn't too high, but from her angle, she could see most of the theme park.

The park was brightly illuminated, and each corner glowed with its unique set of lights. The Ferris wheel turned silently in the darkness, and the carousel spun romantically amidst the floating bubbles. Each corner seemed to form a fairytale-like scene.

Shannon thought the panoramic view was the surprise Benjamin wanted to show her until a faint green glow flitted across her.

Shannon was startled. She looked around and noticed tiny green fireflies dancing around her.

The soft lights flickered gently in the dark, and it was a sight she'd never seen.

Her eyelashes fluttered, and her eyes sparkled with rare wonder. She couldn't help but curiously ask, "How are there fireflies here?"
