Sabrina felt a chill run down her spine, her smile instantly faltering. Brian strolled over, casually pulling out a chair and settling in with a smirk that didn't quite reach his eyes as he fixed his gaze on Sabrina.
"Sabrina, since when did you get so buddy-buddy with Watson?"
Sabrina hesitated, momentarily speechless. What was with this sudden bout of jealousy?
"Bro..." Sabrina's confidence wilted a bit, and she forced an awkward smile. "I was just introducing Allie to a partner from the law firm."
"Oh? Is that so?" Brian's eyes flicked coolly towards Watson.
Watson responded with a polite smile.
Brian's tone was thick with sarcasm, a cold smile playing on his lips. "Then why did I hear you asking him why he turned down your confession back in college?"
Sabrina was taken aback. "I..."
Allison and Olivia exchanged puzzled glances. Something seemed off about Brian today. They couldn't quite pinpoint what it was.
Sabrina chuckled awkwardly. "You must have misheard."
She then fiddled with her phone for a moment, and suddenly, a ringtone blared. Sabrina pretended to answer a call, "Hello? Yes, it's me. What's up? Oh, now? Okay, I'll be right there."
She hung up with exaggerated flair, grabbed her purse, and stood up. "I just got something urgent to handle, gotta run. You guys chat, bye Olivia, Allie."
With that, Sabrina hurried out, her exit looking like a hasty retreat.
Allison watched her leave, then turned to Olivia. "Wasn't that just her alarm ringtone?"
Olivia nodded. "You heard right, it was definitely an alarm."
Brian gave Watson a knowing look. "So this is her style, huh?"
Watson simply shrugged.
"You guys keep chatting, I should head out too." Brian stood up and left.
Once he was gone, Allison leaned over to Olivia, whispering, "Olivia, don't you think there's something weird between Brian and Sabrina?"
"I do."
Sabrina was taken aback.
"I'm your first love?"
"What else would you call it?" Brian leaned down, capturing Sabrina's lips in a tender kiss filled with unspoken emotions.
"You little ingrate."
When the kiss ended, both of them were left breathless. A blush crept up Sabrina's cheeks, her eyes slightly dazed.
"Come back to my place, hmm?" Brian's fingers gently brushed against her lips.
Sabrina gave a soft "mm" in agreement.
Once at Brian's private villa, they let their passions take over. In a heated moment, Brian held Sabrina's chin and asked, "Who do you like, me or Watson?"
Sabrina's eyes were sultry, her voice breathless. "I like you, only you."
Satisfied with her answer, Brian leaned in once more.
