The weather today was absolutely stunning, with a bright spring sun and not a cloud in the sky. Dr. Allison had mentioned earlier that her wound was nearly healed, and she could expect to be discharged from the hospital in about a week.
In the afternoon, the sunlight seemed just perfect for a little stroll, so Allison decided to head down to the garden for some fresh air. This hospital was a private facility owned by Owens International.
Initially, after getting shot, she was admitted to the closest public hospital. On the day Ben jumped, Javier was eager to transfer Allison to a different facility. However, she had just been moved from the ICU to a regular ward, and transferring her wasn’t advisable. Javier, considering her well-being, eventually agreed with the doctors to keep her there a bit longer.
After the Fisher family’s funeral, Allison was moved to her family’s hospital to continue her recovery. It had been raining nonstop for the past few days, which put a damper on everyone’s mood. But today, with the sun shining, Allison seized the chance to step out of her room and head downstairs, her bodyguard Brooklyn by her side.
As she exited the elevator and stepped outside, a familiar figure caught her eye. It was Kate. What was she doing here?
Just a few days ago, Kate’s legal troubles had come to light. She had been spreading false rumors online and inciting her followers against Allison. The court found her guilty of defamation, sentencing her to a year in prison, though it was suspended for a year. Unhappy with the decision, Kate had appealed.
The case was still under review, with Allison as the plaintiff and Kate as the defendant, causing a lot of tension between them. Why would Kate show up at Allison’s family hospital? Maybe she didn’t realize it was under Owens International.
