Girl Get Rid Of That Jerk (Williams and Shawn) novel Chapter 218

Allison wiped away her tears, got out of bed, and smoothed down her hair and clothes before heading to the door. “I’m not feeling too great tonight, so I’m going to skip dinner. You go ahead.”

The housekeeper noticed Allison’s puffy, tear-streaked eyes and her expression shifted with concern. “Ms. Allison, is everything alright?”

Allison shook her head slightly, her voice thick and shaky. “I’m fine.”

The housekeeper, still worried, asked, “Should I get in touch with Mr. Fisher for you?”

That was the last thing Allison wanted.

The housekeeper didn’t mean any harm though. Allison forced a smile, though it looked more like a grimace, trying to seem strong. “Really, I’m okay. I’m just not used to this place yet, and thinking about my dad’s condition got to me. You don’t need to worry.”

The housekeeper didn’t know about Javier's hospitalization, so she didn’t push further. “As long as you’re alright. You gave me quite a scare; I thought something serious had happened. Mr. Fisher was adamant that you should reach out to him for anything, even if it's just trouble sleeping or not liking the food.”

Allison paused, surprised. “He really said that?”

The housekeeper gave a knowing smile. “Yes, Ms. Allison. It’s obvious he cares a lot about you.”

Allison went quiet.

The housekeeper continued, “Get some rest. If you feel hungry later, just let me know and I’ll whip something up for you.”

“Thank you. I’m skipping food tonight. Please get some rest.”

“Those two fools still haven’t been found?” Chris’s eyes narrowed, a murderous glint in them.

At that moment, his bodyguard, Liam, leaned down to whisper in his ear, “Chris, we just got a call. The police have found Scottand Arlo’s bodies.”

Scott was the mercenary who’d been firing a heavy rifle earlier that afternoon. Arlo was one of Liam’s hitmen. Both had been in the Porsche 918, and after it went over the cliff, surviving was a long shot.

The police finding their bodies wasn’t a shock. The thing was, Scott had been holding a gun when the car went over, which meant that gun was now in police hands.

That complicated matters.

Chris’s gaze turned icy, sharp as a knife. He kicked the man in front of him hard, not caring about his injuries. “You’re done here. Get lost!”
