Girl Get Rid Of That Jerk (Williams and Shawn) novel Chapter 140

He never really cared much for meteor showers, but he enjoyed watching Allie get so enchanted by them, making wishes on those falling stars. Suddenly, for him, the whole sky was like lit up with magic.

After making her wish, Allison opened her eyes and gazed up at Joshua, her eyes sparkling with joy like a deer in the headlights. “Joshua, why didn’t you make a wish?”

The night air was biting, and Allison’s nose and earlobes were tinged with a rosy hue. Unable to resist, Joshua gently pinched her earlobe. He had a playful smile on his face. “My wish already came true.”

He had only one wish: that she would always be by his side, sharing life’s journey together.

Allison didn’t quite get it, her lashes fluttering as she asked, “What wish?”

Joshua tucked a loose strand of her hair behind her ear, his lips curving into a soft smile. “My wish is to be with you.”

His eyes were intense as he watched Allison, his voice serious yet tender. “Forever.”

Allison’s heart swelled with sweet affection. His words made her blush, like a delicate flower blooming in the spring breeze. She lowered her head shyly, whispering, “You always seem so serious. How come you’re so smooth with the pickuo lines?”

“These aren’t just lines,” Joshua’s voice was deep and alluring, tugging at her heartstrings. “This is how I truly feel.”

Allison bit her lip, lightly kicking a small pebble with her toe, too bashful to meet Joshua’s gaze.

“Allie, what did you wish for?” Joshua gently pulled her into his embrace.

“I’m not telling you. If I say it, it won’t come true.”

Allison was inexperienced, and had never had sex before. The thought of discussing it made her blush.

Just as she was getting anxious, Joshua suddenly stopped. His heavy breathing was distinct in the dark, his voice husky with desire. “The first time shouldn’t be like this. Let’s just sleep.”

Alright, she was overthinking it. She thought Joshua wouldn’t be able to stop.

She hadn’t expected him to have such self-control and stop just before the final step. But now she found herself heated up, making it a bit tough to drift off.

Joshua held her close, pressing a gentle kiss on her forehead. “Goodnight, Allie.”

Allison snuggled into Joshua’s embrace, like a cozy kitten. “Goodnight, Joshua.”
