Girl Get Rid Of That Jerk (Williams and Shawn) novel Chapter 112

Rose said, glancing at Joshua. "Are you full? Need anything else? I brought all your favorites."

Joshua chuckled, "Allie's cooking hit the spot. I cleaned my plate."

Rose gave a knowing smile. "Well, if you're full, no more food for you."

Brian smirked mischievously. "Oh? Allie cooked for you herself?"

He set down the fruit basket and some supplements, teasing, "You're one lucky guy."

Joshua shot back with a grin. "Yep, it's a joy you'll never know as a single guy."

Brian's smile froze. "Alright then, I'll get a girlfriend and show off right in front of you every day until you're sick of it."

Sabrina's eyes widened in surprise. "Allie, you can cook?"

Allison gave a modest smile. "Just picked it up recently."

"Wow, love really does wonders," Sabrina said, circling Allison in disbelief. "I remember back in college, you made me an omelette with the shell still on, claiming it was good for calcium. Now look at you, cooking real meals."

Allison touched her nose awkwardly. "Eggshells are good for calcium."

Sabrina laughed, shaking her head. "Sure, sure, eggshells for your best friend, but a feast for your fiancé?"

Allison's eyes twinkled with amusement. "I'll make a feast for you next time."

Sabrina grinned, "I'm holding you to that."

Brian gave her a sidelong glance. "Allie's cooking is a sweet little thing between her and Joshua. Why are you jumping in?"

Sabrina lifted her chin. "None of your business."

The group continued to joke around, and the room was filled with laughter and warmth.

Allison eyed him warily. "What do you want?"

Shawn was practically buzzing with excitement. "I heard your engagement party got canceled?"

Allison replied tersely, "What's it to you? Get out of my way."

Shawn blocked her path. "Allison, do you believe in fate? Your engagement was disrupted—it's a sign the universe doesn't approve."

Allison's expression hardened. "This is the 21st century. How are you still clinging to such outdated beliefs?"

Shawn wasn't fazed. He was thrilled the engagement was called off, especially since Joshua had a close brush with death. It felt like fate was on his side.

A sly smile crept into his eyes. "Allison, you know who the attacker is, right? She's been obsessed with Joshua for ten years. Loads of people saw her at the engagement party. It's the talk of Oak Lake now.

"Tell me, how could Joshua possibly stay indifferent with a girl chasing him so passionately for a decade?"
