Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1806

As some members of the Larkin family managed to escape, Fiona made sure to check on them. Thankfully, they weren't carrying any insect eggs, so they were safe, at least for the time being.

Another reason for setting the fire was to flush Albert out of his hiding place. You can't just do bad things and think you can fake your death to get away with it. It’s not that simple!

"Fiona, come over here. This is so weird. It doesn’t even look like something from our country," Jane called out, her voice loud enough to draw the attention of not just Fiona, but also other students and tourists.

Jane’s loudness earned some disapproving looks from onlookers. She wasn’t used to being the center of such attention and felt a bit awkward.

"What’s there to be so shocked about? History is full of things we’ve never seen. No need to make such a fuss. This is a memorial museum, after all. We should keep it down."

"Exactly, students these days lack manners. It’s the modern age, yet some people still get startled over nothing."

"Come on now, give it a rest. She’s probably just a small-town girl who hasn’t seen much of the world. This is the emperor of Country R. What a bunch of clueless people. Judging by their clothes, they must be from Center College. How could they behave like this?"

Jane bit her lip, not expecting things to blow up like this. She was genuinely just curious.

Having been sheltered by her family growing up, she wasn’t used to being the subject of such public scrutiny. Even school squabbles were never like this. Feeling a bit upset, Jane walked over to Fiona.

"Sorry, I just hadn’t seen these before. Besides, why would a memorial museum have artifacts from Country R? It doesn’t make any sense."
