Matteo had been actively using Hudson’s phone to act as him, feeding Alexander false information. He thought we would attack in three day’s time, but here we were, standing on the outskirts of his property line, ready to go now. I was buzzing with excitement and nerves. Jeremy, Hayes, Ramen and I stood in the cover of darkness waiting for our cue. Matteo and, my three Nonno’s, Mamma and Madre were all back home with the tech team who were working overtime to watch everyone’s live feed camera footage to relay information to our earpieces, so we didn’t need to make any sound and give ourselves away. This mission would start out as stealthily as possible and hopefully give us a huge head start in the inevitable war.

“Three out of fifteen active outside guards taken down. Bodies hidden.” One of the tech guys stated. We had decided to wait until the count was at six for us to make out move. That way if they were discovered we would already be inside. We listened, waited and watched our opening.

“Six down, east side clear, extraction team go!”

We each had a different mapped path to take. This way would give us options if one of us was discovered for the other’s to still make it to the guys and complete the mission. I was taking to the vents again, mainly because I was the only one that would fit but also because everyone was antsy about me even being on the mission being the Donna and pregnant. I watched as Jeremy took the back door, Ramen took the bottom window and Hays and I played leapfrog up the building to the second–floor balcony where Hays entered, and I continued my way up to the roof. I tied the rope off around the vent just like the first time and took quickly to the screws on the casing. I needed to be quick this time, knowing that my puppies were already inside risking their lives. I slipped down the rope, dropping to my knees and then my stomach silently as I began to commando crawl through the vents with the map I had learnt off my heart by now, heading straight to the basement. I took quick and calculated looks into each vent opening, listening to the tech team relay guard posts to my puppies. I saw multiple rooms were cleared on the top floor, meaning Hays was doing his part well, taking out men without causing a scene. The first floor had more guards, but both Ramen and Jeremy were here to tag team them.

“Outside guards all cleared out. Our men are stationed on the building’s walls now.” The tech team relayed. I made my way to another vent opening, taking a quick look to see Jeremy hauling a dead mans body into a closet. What he didn’t see was another guard who had just entered the room behind his back and was reaching for his gun. I quickly flipped my body to the side, reaching for the tranquilizer darts on my belt. I pulled one and the launching tube. I put the tube in my mouth, loaded the dart and pressed my face towards to metal slits in the opening, praying to god my aim was good.

“Jeremy, your 6 o’clock“, the message reached my ears just as I let out a forced rush of air. Jeremy dropped the body he was shoving and turned just in time to see the dart prick into the offending guard’s eyeball and he rushed to him before his body could hit the floor. He looked up at the vent with wide eyes and gave a mock salute.

I kept on my way, about to hit the next downward slope to the basement when another message came through.

“Guards are headed outside, won’t be long until they notice something a miss. Get ready teams.”

We were already making really good time, better than I had expected with such a large group of us together. I’m proud of these men for adapting so quickly to a different method of attacking. I’m pushing myself as fast as I can down the last length of vents. Finally reaching the opening I want, I look down but don’t see my guys straight away. Have they been moved? Fuck! Just then I see a slight movement to the side. Luca! Looking closer I see all three of my men on opposite sides of the room. No one else in sight, fuck yes! I slam my fist on the opening and catch it just before it falls to the floor. My guys all look up with nothing less than shock on their faces as they see mine.

“Ramen’s in the cell corridor on watch; No sign of any guards. Good to lower yourself down Donna.”

I angle the vent casing and pull it inside and lay it down. I move myself forward so my feet can drop out first, it’s a fair distance to the ground and I pray to god that I don’t break anything important. ‘Fuck it‘ I think to myself as I let my fingers go. The fall I had expected didn’t come as two strong hands grab my

waist and catch me.

“You still falling for me, angel?” Luciano whispers.

“Oh my handsome man! I missed you!” I say holding his face and giving him a longing kiss.

“Psst, Princess, over here!” Luca whisper yells at me.

I shuffle out of Luciano’s hold and scurry over to Luca. He’s in bad shape, but he still gets off the floor and opens his arms, flinching slightly from the pain

when I embrace him.

“Baby, what did they do to you?” I ask, inspecting his injuries and giving him a quick kiss. “and why are you all naked?”

I quickly head over to Tony.
