The waiters, all of them have guns drawn now. I see Luca and Tony coming to us, but they don’t see the three armed men pointing guns at their backs. I grab two more steak knives from nearby tables and I towards them, jumping on a table and throwing the knives at two of the armed men and then throw myself at the third, using Tony’s hunched back from the sound of shots as an extra stepping stone to get me right onto my target. We crash to the floor and the sudden shock is all I need to ram the heal of my palm up at his nose, causing it to break and lodge into his brain.
I see Luciano beside me now, with Luca and Tony coming up from behind. Their own guns drawn as they fire out shots on the rest of the waiters,
“We’ve got to move, now!” Luciano yells.
We make for the exit, and he presses the button on the elevator.
“No! We have to take the stairs. If they’re smart, they’ll have people waiting at the bottom for us. We send the elevator down empty as a distraction, and catch them off guard.” I say as I take his hand, and we all begin racing down the stairs. I kicked my shoes off under the table when I saw the first gun so the stairs are no issue for me. We all run and jump and haul ass down the stairs. Tony makes a point of sticking very close to me, while Luca and Luciano draw in behind us.
Just as I suspected there’s 5 more waiting at the elevator with their guns drawn, watching the empty elevator numbers descend. I don’t wait a moment, quietly slinking from the stairwell and taking two of the knives I snagged from upstairs and making a jump between two of the men at the back and slicing their jugulars in tandem before dropping low to the ground as I hear three shots ring out and the remaining body’s fall with a thud. Luciano grabs my arm and pulls me towards the door just as a group of his own men rush in and flank us and we rush out to the awaiting cars. Luca, Tony, Luciano and I jump into one, his men loading into the other two in front and behind ours.

“FUCK!” I yell out once were on the road. “Luca, call Georgio, I want to know what the fuck just happened!” I take out my own phone to call my yacht to prepare them for our arrival. Any attempt on my life has been planned for this. An immediate evacuation to the sea until we can retaliate and control the situation. Luca and I are both frantically making calls. Tony is driving and I see him look in the rear–view to my angel.
“Are you okay back there, Donna?” He says, and I take a moment in my phone call to look at her. Fuck I didn’t even take into account how she would be feeling right now seeing all of that death and blood and…wait a minute. My angel was in there slaughtering those men. She was the first to react and took to them like it was a second nature to take a life. The way she moved…I look at her, really look at her. Blood dripping and splattered over her skin and hair. She should be a mess, but her heart rate looks normal, she’s calm, if it weren’t for the blood she would appear to look like any other day…
“Yeah, I’m fine Tony.” She gives him a casual half smile.
What is going through your head right now my dark little angel?
I hang up my phone as we arrive at the docks. Nodding with Luca and watching as the first car load of my men come back out of the yacht, signaling the all clear. Tony opens the door for my angel and we all rush up the dock.
“Ah fuck” I hear my angel say.
“Amore?” I say rushing to her side to check her for injury.
I look down to her bare feet. When did she ditch her shoes? I mean of course she did. How else would she have run down 50 flights of stairs at that speed in heels…but when? Dam she’s like a little sexy ninja.
“Everyone head to your assigned rooms as per the protocol. Meet back her in exactly 20 minutes with Luca and start to figure out who the fuck just tried to kill your Don and Donna. I want to know anyone who was involved and how they got into that restaurant!” Still with my angel hung over my shoulder I walk towards our room and straight into the connecting bathroom. I place her on the counter and tear her dress down the middle.

“Please, amore, I need to check you for injuries. You’re covered in blood.“. Unlike myself. I had a few splatter marks and some carrying her but my dark little angel looks like she had bathed in the blood of our enemies.
