Chapter 83
The fourth cup…
Last was the sixth cup.
Alaricka really couldn’t drink anymore, her stomach was burning and hurting like crazy, like someone was poking her stomach with a needle over and over. The pain was so bad she couldn’t stand it.
She curled up on the ground, struggling to reach for the third glass, when Kieran’s cold voice drifted over.
She kept coughing, almost like she was going to cough her lungs out.
My face turned red from coughing, my eyes could barely open, and I kept feeling like my throat had been burned by a hot stick.
“Since you couldn’t drink, why did you come here?”
Alarieka gave a sarcastic smirk.
Kieran really was this heartless.
He was only this harsh to her.
Alarieka grabbed the seventh glass of wine without hesitation and drank it down.
The sudden loud and chaotic noise outside.
Then there was the sound of the door being kicked open from outside, and these noises kept hitting Alarieka’s eardrums.
Her ears were full of buzzing, and she tilted her head back, opened her

mouth, and took the drink.
“What are you still drinking for?!”
As someone shouted loudly, the wine glass in her hand got slapped to the floor. The glass shattered all over the ground, and the wine spread across the carpet.
She vaguely looked up.
It was Jaylene.
She didn’t know when she got here, but she barged into this nightclub with a whole bunch of her brothers and sisters, all of them carrying sticks or knives, some big, some small. Even the bodyguards behind the assistant were scared.
Jaylene grabbed her wrist and pulled her up.
“Don’t just stand there, hurry up.”
Alarieka was pulled up by Jaylene, pushed through the crowd, and ran straight out of the club.
Behind me, there were cheers from the people Jaylene brought, and a lot of cursing and exclamations from others.
The cold night wind blew past Alarieka’s ears, and her whole body felt colder. Because she was running, her stomach churned even more.
She struggled against Jaylene’s hand on her wrist, squatted by the trash can, and threw up a bunch of stuff from her stomach.
Alarieka threw up so hard, she almost puked her stomach out.
Jaylene suddenly rushed forward: “Why is there blood?”

“You had a stomach bleed?”
Alaricka shook her head tiredly, “I don’t know.”
Jaylene grabbed her hand: “Come on, I’ll take you to the hospital.”
Alarieka was yanked up so hard that everything went white and she blacked out.
When I woke up again, Alarieka was already in the hospital.
Jaylene’s voice sounded softly: “Awake?”
“Wake up and go pay the money, I didn’t have money to pay for you.”
Alarieka blinked, pulled at the corner of her mouth, and said in a hoarse voice, “I’ll pay.”
She struggled to sit up, and Jaylene immediately stood up to help her.
“Slow down, slow down, your hand was still on an IV.”
Alarieka leaned against the headboard, her voice still weak: “Thank you.”
Jaylene still had the swelling on her face from when Calvin hit her last night. She looked away awkwardly and said, “I should be the one thanking you.”
Alarieka remembered what happened in the private room, and her eyes darkened.
“You shouldn’t have kept working part–time at that store after that, it’s not safe.”
Jaylene waved her hand. “You don’t have to tell me, I know myself. I just ran out of there, how could I possibly go back.”

Alaricka nodded. “That’s good.”
Jaylene seemed to think of something and looked a bit embarrassed. “Alarieka, I wanted to ask you something.”
