The Ex-Husband's Apology (by Sebastian Grey) novel Chapter 3

Chapter3

But with everything that had happened in the past two days, and considering she was pregnant, she really didn’t feel like making love.

Brayan, my stomach isn’t feeling so great. Can we notJennifer started to say, but before she could finish, Brayan picked her up and threw her onto the big bed in the bedroom.

I’m preg

She didn’t get to finish the word pregnantbefore Brayan’s weight was on top of her and his rough kiss was on her lips.

He was kissing her while unbuttoning his shirt and unbuckling his belt, looking down at her with eyes that were burn- ing hot.

Surprised to see that usually quiet and easygoing Jennifer was actually fighting back, he gave a kind of strange smile and used his belt to tie up her thin wrists.

All you gotta do is be a good wife,he said.

Then he kissed her again, really hard, and she didn’t get a chance to say anything else.

Jennifer had no idea what was up with Brayan tonight, but he was so rough that she ended up passing out.

When she woke up, the room was dark. She felt really uncomfortable in her stomach and below, and she wanted to go to the bathroom to clean up, but then she heard Brayan talking on the phone in the living room.

Brayan, Catalina is totally wasted. You gotta get over here now!

At a time like this, Jennifer had to be thankful that Ronan had such a loud voice.

In the living room, Brayan looked tall and straight, like a bolt of lightning. The dim light made his face look sharp, and his eyes were deep like a night sky.

To Jennifer’s surprise, Brayan had a cigarette dangling from his other hand.

In her memory, he didn’t smoke, at least not at home.

Come on, man, how long are you gonna keep this fight with Catalina? She’s back now, so it’s time to make up, right?

The quieter the night, the clearer Ronan’s voice came through on the other end of the line.

Jennifer heard every word clearly, and her breath got stuck in her chest.

RonanBrayan’s face was serious, and his eyes were sharp.

So what? Can’t you get a divorce? That washedup wife of yours, who can’t even take care of herself without you, is nothing compared to Catalina.

But I don’t want a divorce.

Why not?

I can’t bring myself to leave her.

Jennifer’s eyes got all watery, and she almost made a noise.

Brayan’s words meant more to her than any expensive gift he had ever given her.

After three years of marriage, even the coldest heart would have thawed, and she never thought she had done any- thing wrong.
