Haddy and Leon each got into their respective cars and left.

Joycelyn felt her sharp stare directed straight at her as if trying to pierce through her.

Cecilia said with a mock expression, “You must be Joycelyn. How dare you covet the man I fancy? Since you married a poor man, you should stay a lowly woman and stop dreaming of climbing up to Haddy.” 

She added, “Did your husband help some big shots with major deals, so he sent you to seduce them? Or did he make you sacrifice your looks for his performance? Hmm?*
