Cecilia stepped forward at the door, but Leon blocked her.

She tried to look inside, getting anxious and even using her hands, but Leon was like an immovable statue, blocking her way with a mischievous look 

“Mr. Davey, step aside. You can go in, why can’t I?” Cecilia looked at the floor filled with red roses and the symphony orchestra inside. 

The large restaurant was beautifully and dreamily decorated, but there was only one table of people. 

She was really jealous of the people inside. 

“Let’s go, let’s eat downstairs. It’s my treat. Put everything on Haddy’s tab, or let Ellison waive the bill.” Leon couldn’t really let this person stand at the door making a fuss and ruining the atmosphere. 

He directly wrapped his arm around Cecilia’s shoulder and took her away. 

Cecilia, wearing strappy high heels and exuding the aura of a wealthy young lady, was dragged away by Leon like a bandit. She kept looking back, trying to break free.

In the restaurant, Joycelyn finally breathed a sigh of relief when she no longer heard the noise at the door. 

“Let’s eat, and then we’ll go home,” Ellison said, his brows furrowed, clearly annoyed by the disturbance. 

“Okay” Joycelyn nodded. 

“I’m finished here. I’ll make a quick call,” Haddy said with poise, putting down his knife and fork. He strolled to the window, taking in the night view as he dialed. 

The tall, elegant figure stood in the shadows, creating a very pleasing picture. 

Although still present, he had already separated himself from the couple’s world, making his presence as minimal as possible to avoid making the atmosphere awkward. 

With the two people out of the way, Ellison finally relaxed his furrowed brows a bit. 

“This time was a bit sudden, let’s choose a better place next time,” Ellison said in a deep voice, his serious expression suggesting he was already planning their next private time together.

After finishing their meal, Joycelyn and Ellison prepared to leave the restaurant and go home to avoid running into Cecilia. 

Haddy noticed the couple standing up and ended his call. 

“Looks like I’ll have to be Ellison’s assistant today.” Haddy murmured, grabbing the bouquet of flowers and following the couple. “Let’s go, Mr. and Mrs. Grant” 

“Sorry to trouble you,” Joycelyn said, feeling a bit embarrassed. 

Such a large bouquet wasn’t practical for Ellison to carry, and she probably couldn’t manage it on her own either. 

“It’s no trouble at all. I happen to be going to the garage as well.” Haddy said casually, showing no airs. 

“Thank you,” Joycelyn said, putting on her sunglasses and taking Ellison’s arm as they left. 

Wearing sunglasses at night looked quite comical and would be out of place on anyone else. 

But Haddy didn’t make a fuss about it. 

Joycelyn felt that being around such outstanding people actually made her feel more relaxed. 

As expected of the good friends carefully chosen by Ellison, they’re all quite impressive. 

The three of them had just entered the elevator when Haddy’s phone rang. “It’s Leon.” 

He answered the call, said a few words, and then they headed to the underground garage. 

After hanging up, Joycelyn, holding Ellison’s arm, watched the elevator slowly descend, her small hand constantly fiddling 

with his suit sleeve. 

“What’s wrong?” Ellison lowered his gaze, his eyes staring deeply at her. 

“Nothing.” Joycelyn said, not voicing her inner worries. 

She thought that a wealthy woman like Cecilia wouldn’t bother with someone like her. 

After all, she was just an ordinary person.

Cecilia took out her phone, zoomed in, and took a photo of the woman in the passenger seat.

The photos wasn’t very clear, and the woman in the passenger seat was wearing sunglasses 

Cecilia squinted her eyes and looked a few more times. 

Even though the woman’s sunglasses covered most of her face, the smooth contours, well–defined nose, and pretty lips suggested she was a very beautiful woman. 

However, she looked somewhat familiar if Cecilia had seen her somewhere before.
