Ana’s expression darkened. “Play with fire, get burned. This isn’t her first time pulling stunts like this. But what does that have to do with f
“Exactly. Let’s get out of here. I suddenly lost my appetite,” Aurora said.
“Agreed.”
As Ana stood up, she came face to face with Valeria, who was heading toward the condiment station.
Seeing Ana, Valeria’s eyes narrowed with hostility. “Are you blind? Can’t you see I’m pregnant? Or did you do that or purpose?”
Ana looked at Valeria calmly. “Valeria, being pregnant isn’t a get out of jail–free card. Stop acting like you can do whatever you want just because you’re carrying a baby.”
“Are you jealous, Ana? Is that why you sound so bitter? If you want kids, you actually have to be able to have them first,” Valeria said smugly.
“Who ate a ton of shit? The smell is absolutely revolting,” Aurora said, covering her nose with obvious disgust.
“You-”
Valeria looked at Aurora, and the first word that popped into her head was “goddess.”
She hadn’t expected Ana to know someone this stunning. But given how provocatively she was dressed, maybe she was working the streets?
It wasn’t impossible–what kind of classy people could Ana possibly know?
Plus, this woman looked familiar, like she’d seen her somewhere before. Probably in some tabloid scandal.
“You prostitute, you’ve got some nerve talking to me. Your body’s dirtier than my mouth,” Valeria sneered.
“What did you just say?” Aurora’s smile vanished instantly. Her eyes turned deadly, filled with murderous intent.
She raised her hand.
Ana quickly grabbed Aurora’s wrist.
Aurora looked at Ana with displeasure–Ana was the first person who’d ever dared to stop her mid–swing.
“Ana, let go,” Aurora said through gritted teeth.
“Aurora, let me handle this. I’m used to throwing punches. Don’t dirty your hands,” Ana said.
Aurora couldn’t help but laugh at that, her anger cooling slightly. “Fine, but hit her hard.”
“Will do.”
Valeria froze, panic flashing through her mind, Was Ana actually serious about this?
She tried to escape, but when she turned around, she found Cassian and Theo standing right behind her. She jumped, her scalp tingling with fear.
“Don’t even think about leaving,” Cassian said goldly.
Valeria swallowed hard, forcing down her nervousness. “The great Cassian Rhodes is going to assault a woman? Aren’t you worried about your reputation?”
Ana stopped in front of Valeria and raised her hand. “Why would he worry? He’s not the one about to hit you–I am.”

Chapter 278.
Ana’s palm connected with Valeria’s face.
Valeria was so stunned it took her several seconds to process what had happened.
“Nice hit! Good thing we just ate,” Aurora commented approvingly.
Ana immediately caught Aurora’s meaning. “Yeah, I’m pretty full.”
By now Valeria had snapped back to reality. She wanted to murder Ana, but with Ana’s crew outnumbering her, there was no way she’d win a fight.
So she went with Plan B.
