Chapter 223
Yinsen and Griffin were grinning like idiots, completely oblivious to the knowing look Anastasia and Tamia shared.
“Cassian, no coaching. Go find some work to do,” Yinsen declared.
That was pretty savage–making someone work during their vacation just to keep him out of the game.
“Don’t think I’m being a total dick here,” Yinsen told Tamia, “but this is literally Cassian’s only hobby. Dude’s the ultimate workaholic–all work, all the time. Nothing else interests him.”
“That’s bullshit. He’s definitely obsessed with one thing,” Tamia shot back.
Yinsen and Griffin immediately perked up like gossipy teenagers. “Oh yeah? What’s that?”
These guys were such drama queens!
“Our girl Ana over there.”
The second Tamia said it, Yinsen and Griffin froze, then burst out laughing. “Holy shit, you’re totally right!”
Anastasia’s cheeks went pink. “Okay, enough already! Let’s just play.”
“Aww, Ana’s getting all shy,” Yinsen teased.
Anastasia glanced over at Cassian, who had his headphones on and looked dead serious about whatever work crisis he was handling.
Better leave him alone, she figured.
After the first round, Anastasia had gotten absolutely demolished.
“Ana, your game’s pretty rough. People are gonna think we’re bullying you,” Yinsen said with fake concern.
Aren’t you though? Tamia thought.
“My bad, my bad! Still figuring things out. I’ll get better,” Anastasia, said sweetly.
Better? Like, instantly?
Since Anastasia seemed confident, Griffin and Yinsen played along. “Sure thing, take all the time you need.”
They’d been planning to absolutely destroy her, but after a few more hands, something felt seriously off.
“Hold up, Ana… are you fucking counting cards?”
“Yeah, my technique sucks, but I’ve got a pretty good memory,” Anastasia said like it was no big deal.
Pretty good memory? This chick’s a goddamn savant.
Yinsen shot daggers at Tamia, who was suddenly very interested in her fingernails.
Perfect! He’d been trying to cheer her up, and she’d completely thrown him under the bus
“Hey, you can’t blame me! You assholes were planning to hustle my best friend. Mess with me all you want, but Ana’s off limits!” Tamia fired back.
Yinsen and Griffin were speechless. At this point, they had no clue who was playing whom.
That’s when Cassian appeared, apparently done with whatever business emergency he’d been handling. His stressed expression had completely cleared.
Tomorrour My Overnight Wedding to a Tycoon
Chapter 223
“These idiots giving you trouble?” he asked, shooting death glares at Griffin and Yinsen.
If they’re being dicks right in front of me, what happens when I’m not around?
“God no! Even if we wanted to mess with her, we’d never dare!” Yinsen protested frantically.
Cassian snorted. “You better not even think about it.”
He walked over to Anastasia and said softly, “Want me to help you out?”
“Absolutely not–she’s already wiping the floor with us. Add you to the mix and we might as well just blow our brains out,” Griffin whined.
Cassian couldn’t care less what Griffin thought. He looked at Anastasia questioningly.
“They’re saying me counting cards isn’t cool,” Anastasia said.
“There’s nothing wrong with counting cards. How the hell is that not cool?” Griffin laughed nervously while desperately trying to signal Anastasia for
mercy.
“What kind of stakes were you playing for?” Cassian asked with dangerous casualness.
“We weren’t playing for anything!”
“Let’s make this interesting then. What’s the point of playing for nothing?” Cassian said, still sounding totally chill.
The moment he said that, Griffin and Yinsen knew they were absolutely fucked.
“Just, you know, friendly stakes,” Yinsen said with the world’s fakest smile.
Cassian didn’t respond. He looked at Anastasia. “What do you think?”
“I’m down,” Anastasia agreed,
Griffin and Yinsen: We’re so fucking dead.
By the end, both Griffin and Yinsen had lost company shares to Anastasia.
“Dude, if you wanted to give Ana some equity, you could’ve just said so,” Yinsen complained.
“For real. Here, take some resort shares,” Griffin offered.
“Griffin, you sneaky piece of shit! I gave her H–Garden shares that she’ll actually use. You’re dumping resort stock on her when she’ll probably never come back here, and this place just opened with garbage occupancy rates,” Yinsen bitched.
Griffin smirked knowingly. He had strategic reasons for giving Anastasia resort shares.
As Cassian’s wife and now a resort stakeholder, wouldn’t Cassian be obligated to help if the business had problems?
“Actually, I think this place is amazing,” Anastasia said genuinely.
“Boom! Told you she’d love it!” Griffin said smugly
Yinsen rolled his eyes. “Whatever. Like Ana doesn’t also love H–Garden. You dig that place too, right?”
“Absolutely–the food’s incredible,” Anastasia said.
Yinsen shot Griffin a triumphant look. “Boom! She loves it.”
“We should just call you the UN Peacekeeper. You’re way too good at keeping everyone happy,” Griffin told Anastasia.
“But I really do love both places,” Anastasia said innocently.

Chapter 223
“Don’t mind these clowns. Let’s go chill–supposedly there’s a bonfire thing tonight,” Cassian told her.
“That sounds awesome,” Anastasia said.
