Chapter 59
Anna’s POV:
Claire’s smirk made my blood boil.
\“Anna, let’s just drop this whole thing. If things really blow up, I honestly don’t know how our family will stay together.
1 stared at her, incredulous. The audacity of this woman never ceased to amaze me.
“Our family? I married Blake, not you. And certainly not the three of us together. Don’t be ridiculous, Claire. If you want to be with Blake so badly, do us all a fator and convince him to divorce me faster.”
I kicked away her hand that was clutching at my pants leg, my patience completely gone.
I said, “Privacy violations carry serious legal consequences. So does distributing inappropriate content. Whether it’s you or him, if you want to break the law knowing full well what you’re doing, let’s see who has the last laugh.”
However, her threat about photos bothered me more than I let on.
My mind raced, searching for what Blake might possibly have.
The only possible compromising photo would be from three months ago. Blake had stumbled home drunk from a business dinner. and I was just stepping out of the shower naked when he accidentally pushed open the bathroom door.
His phone was in his hand–he’d been trying to make a call–and he accidentally hit the camera button instead.
The flash went off, capturing my entire naked body. We were both startled. He left awkwardly, and I assumed he’d delete it.
Claire must have seen it on his phone.
My stern expression must have frightened her, because suddenly she started crying and calling out, “Blakey!”
Heavy footsteps approached, and Blake appeared, deliberately bumping my shoulder hard enough to make me step back. He helped Claire back to her bed with gentle care, en turned to me with a cold smile.
“Anna, what are you doing? I already told you Claire wasn’t responsible. Why are you still giving her a hard time?”
“Maybe she’s just looking for trouble herself,” I replied sarcastically.
Watching them together–him hovering protectively, her clinging to his arm–I felt strangely calm. I no longer cared whether their relationship was purely sibling affection or something more sinister.
I lowered my head, my nails digging into my palm. “Blake, come outside. We need to talk.”
I waited on a bench at the end of the hospital corridor for nearly five minutes before Blake appeared.
He walked toward me slowly, deliberately, his expression haughty as if regarding a drowned dog,
When he finally stood before me, I extended my hand. He merely raised an eyebrow mockingly. “Mrs. Wright, what do you want?”
I took a deep breath. “Can I see your phone?”
His expression shifted to surprise and contempt. “Anna, just say what you want to say.”

Chapter 59
*I want to check if you have photos of me on your phone. Claire said you’re planning to threaten me with a private picture?
no
A flicker of something crossed his face so brief I almost missed it—But my instincts told me the photo probably still existed on his phone.
“How dare you accuse Claire of something like that?” he fired back.
“You asked me to speak directly, then you don’t believe what I say.”
“I don’t listen to lies.”
I looked him straight in the eye. “Blake, if you’re planning to threaten me with those photos, do your worst. I’m not afraid. But I’d advise you to drop this idea. I don’t want someone like you tarnishing my past.”
He looked confused at the word “past.” In my mind, I acknowledged that our relationship was indeed past tense. My feelings for him belonged to a different era.
“Blake,” I changed tactics, “I promise not to pursue anything against Claire anymore. Could you please stop fargeting Michael in
return?”
