Chapter 321
Blake’s POV:
My expression crumbled with shame and regret. “I… I didn’t know you were in such danger… I… My voice faltered as I watched Anna’s face, seeing the years of pain etched in the fine lines around her eyes.
Claire’s maniacal laughter interrupted us: “Hahaha! This is hilarious! Anna, why didn’t you die in childbirth? If you had died earlier, you wouldn’t be standing here asking all these questions!
Rage exploded within me. “How can you be so vicious? You’re the one who should have died!”
Claire offered to explain everything to Anna. Alarm bells rang in my mind. What is she planning?
I tried to stop Claire, but Anna held me back. “Let her speak. I’m listening.”
“If she says anything untrue, I’ll give you a chance to explain,” Anna promised, restraining me and covering my eyes.
“Anna…” I called helplessly.
“Let’s clear everything up today,” Anna said quietly. “We all need to face our past.”
Claire claimed I had “emotional problems because of Anna, that I was isolated in a suburban hospital and given sedatives. The truth is I relapsed because ! couldn’t accept losing Anna.
“Anna just needed to leave the country for your condition to improve, right?” Claire asked smugly.
I watched Anna’s expression carefully. Her jaw tightened, but she remained silent,
Claire!” I shouted. “Don’t go too far! My suffering was never Anna’s fault–it was my own choices and your manipulation!”
Claire continued: ‘It’s good that Melissa isn’t around you anymore. Her leg was injured long ago. Meddlesome people always get punished!”
Anna retorted: “Claire, perhaps you should keep that saying for yourself?”
Fury overwhelmed me. I grabbed a vase and hurled it at Claire. It shattered, water and glass fragments drenching her, cutting her face. I protected this monster for years while hurting the person who truly loved me.
“Blakey!” Claire screamed. “Anna wanted to hear this! I’m your sister who grew up with you! What is she compared to me?”
“Shut up!” I shouted, pointing at her. “Did you not hear me?”
Anna stepped between us. “Blake, I asked to hear this!” Her eyes flashed with determination, though I noticed how she swayed slightly, still weak from her recent illness.
I begged to speak with Anna alone, but she stubbornly shook her head and looked back at Claire. My heart sank.
Claire revealed that videos of me trying to stop Anna at the airport had circulated online, humiliating me as the Wright Group CEO. She claimed. He didn’t block the online news because he needed to force himself to face reality, to remind himself how cold and heartless you were to him!
“The first thing he did was tell everyone around him never to mention you again, never to let him hear or see anything related to you!”
I caught Anna as she swayed, looking disoriented.
As evening fell, I shouted at Claire: “Stop lying! Apologize to Anna!”
Claire sneered: ‘Apologize for what? For you two missing each other? I’m glad you missed each other, Blakey!”
‘I’m not interested in her apology, Anna said hoarsely.

Chapter 321
I clutched Anna’s hand. ‘What about me? Have you lost interest in me too? You promised to give me a chance to explain!
“The past few years, I lived in a daze,‘ I explained desperately. “Every day torn between missing you and resenting you. I didn’t dare look for you because my mental state was so fragile. I was terrified that if I saw you with Seth or another man, I might do something crazy.”
“Anna, I knew you were disappointed in me. If I found you and hurt you again, you’d never forgive me, and we’d truly have no chance. So I had to heal myself first. When I missed you, I got your face tattooed on my body instead of self–harming. These three years, I kept Claire locked in that hospital as punishment. I despise her.”
“When you told me on the phone that you hadn’t miscarried, I never heard it. Claire completely hid that fact from me. If I’d known you were pregnant, I would have found you immediately and stayed by your side.”
“Anna, do you no longer believe anything I say? I’m sorry…”
