Chapter 105
Blake’s POV:
Waves crashed on the shore as moonlight bathed the beach in silver stared down at Anna in my arms, her cheeks still flushed, hair a sexy mess, completely wrecked from what we’d just done.
I pulled her closer, feeling her warm skin against mine as her glazed eyes slowly focused on my face.
“With your terrible blow job skills, are you really trying to kick me out?” I smirked, watching embarrassment flash across her face.
“You… looked pretty satisfied to me!” She turned away, avoiding my gaze.
I couldn’t resist leaning in to take her earlobe between my lips, feeling her shiver. “Now you’re shy? You weren’t shy before.” My voice came out husky against her ear, feeling her breathing quicken.
“You didn’t like it? Then there won’t be a next time,” She said then turned to leave.
Her reaction was both frustrating and amusing–after four years of marriage, she still got flustered after intimacy, Her pure reactions made her so damn adorable.
I caught up quickly, draping my arm over her shoulders. She still smelled like me, mixed with the saltiness of the ocean, reigniting
desire.
my
“I love being with you,” I said softly, but she didn’t respond, just walked faster.
I frowned, grabbing her arm. In business, I was used to being direct and efficient; in life, it was no different.
I cupped her face and saw tears welling in her eyes, instantly feeling panic rise in my chest.
“Anna?” I called gently, uncertainty creeping into my voice.
“Are you proud of yourself seeing me like this?” Her voice trembled. “When I do these wild, bold things for you, are you laughing at
me inside?”
Her words hit me hard. All along, I’d known about Anna’s feelings for me, and I knew my feelings for her weren’t entirely cold. But I’d always buried my emotions deep–growing up in a single–parent home, showing feelings meant weakness.
Now, looking at the tears in her eyes, I realized I might have hurt her.
I bent down to kiss her, feeling her subtle trembling. She didn’t push me away but quietly accepted the kiss. In business, could handle any difficult situation, but with Anna, I often felt completely lost,
In that moment, I decided to drop my cold mask and express my true feelings.
“I’ve always had good self–control. When I set my mind to something, I’ve been able to focus on it since I was a kid,” I said, looking directly into her eyes. “Women have never been very appealing to me, physically or emotionally. Controlling myself around them was never difficult.”
