Teresa hurriedly threw on whatever clothes she could find while Michael was waiting for her at the door.
When she got ready, Teresa drove Michael to meet Miriam.
“Finally, you’re here,” Miriam called out to Teresa. “They’ve been checking tickets.”
Teresa glanced around and asked, “Where’s Edward?”
Miriam explained, “I had him go in earlier. I was afraid he’d get suspicious if he saw you with Mike. I’ll just explain to Edward that I happened to run into Sherry at the entrance, and she dropped Mike off for me.”
Teresa said, “Alright. Let’s head in.”
Edward had already sat in a front–row seat, waiting for them.
“Edward.” Michael happily dashed toward him.
Edward was surprised. “How come Mike is here too?”
Miriam smoothly spun the tale she’d already rehearsed. She said calmly, “I ran into Sherry while waiting for Teresa at the entrance. Sherry also bought a ticket but couldn’t make it, so she asked Miriam to look after Mike.”
Edward didn’t suspect a thing and greeted Teresa with a warm smile. “Hey, Teresa, Long time no see.”
“Long time no see,” Teresa said as she settled into the seat next to Miriam.
Edward fixed his gaze on Teresa and openly scrutinized her.
Miriam gave Edward a sharp smack on the head and asked, “What are you staring at?”
Edward clutched his head and whined, “I’m just curious. Teresa seems to have put on some weight.”
Teresa’s heart lurched. In her rush to leave today, she just threw on a form–fitting outfit and didn’t even wear a jacket.
Edward added, “Teresa, seriously, your waist looks way bigger than before.”
Teresa’s heart lurched again. Quick on the uptake, she shot Edward a glare and retorted, “Yeah, I’ve put on a bit of weight. Guess I’ve just been eating well lately.”
Only then did Miriam take a good look at Teresa. Miriam said, “Well, it’s summer, so I guess that’s normal. But do feel your waist has gotten a bit thicker.”
With that, Miriam leaned closer to Teresa and whispered, “Are you pregnant?”
Teresa rolled her eyes at Edward, who was practically glued to Miriam like an overeager spy.
Even though Miriam was barely whispering, nothing escaped Edward’s sharp ears.
Teresa finally said, “Don’t be ridiculous. I don’t even have a boyfriend.”
Edward whispered, “Well, what about Jonathan?”
Teresa warned, “Don’t you dare go spouting nonsense at him. I’ve already made it clear to him that we’ve drawn a line between us, so don’t make things
awkward for both of us.”
Edward asked, “Teresa, you and Jonathan broke up again?”

Chapter 563
Teresa said, “What do you mean by ‘again‘? I never even got back together with him in the first place. Now quit making things up”
Teresa turned around and suddenly realized Michael was nowhere to be seen. She shot to her feet and was about to call out when she spotted him playing safely by the railing.
