After all, they were in the restroom, and there were people outside. Considering Ines had just started to recuperate, Ethan didn’t dare to cross any boundaries. He just held Ines close for a moment.
Feeling his boner, Ines felt a surge of sweetness in her heart and held him tighter.
On reflection, the two of them couldn’t control themselves at all after their wedding. But they were more conservative after the pregnancy. After having two kids, they only had sex once. Ethan had been controlling himself for a long time.
Ines gave a sly grin, “Honey, how have you been dealing with it recently?”
Ines’ blunt question caught Ethan off guard, making his face go a bit red, “I haven’t thought about it.” His focus was on her health and their kids, so he hardly had time for anything else.
“Really? You haven’t thought about it?” Ines asked skeptically.
“No.” Ethan affirmed.
“Aren’t men supposed to be driven by their carnal instincts? You’ve never thought about finding another woman?”
Ethan frowned at Ines, “Nonsense! If you don’t think about it, it fades away.”
Ines couldn’t help but laugh. She was only teasing Ethan, because she knew he was a man of principles who wouldn’t cheat.
Ethan knew by the look on her face that she was lost in her thoughts. He pinched her nose, “Naughty girl, let’s go. We don’t want people outside to get the wrong idea.”
Ines shrugged, “Who cares? We are husband and wife. Whatever we do is completely legal. Let them talk.”
Ethan raised his eyebrows in surprise. These were the words he often used to say. It seemed like Ines had toughened up since regaining her memory.
“You’ve changed a lot.”
Ines smiled and walked out of the restroom with Ethan. After nearly losing him, she cherished their life together more than ever and didn’t care about what others thought.
Ines had expected many visitors during her hospital stay, just like the last two times. But two days after waking up, aside from a call from the Meyer family, no one had visited. This was unlike their normal behavior and it worried Ines.
Phoebe sighed inwardly at Ethan’s perfect performance. No wonder Ines always listened to him. “See, Izzy? Even your hubby agrees. Let’s go shopping.”
Ines wanted to go grocery shopping with Ethan and cook at home, which was something they hadn’t done in a long time. But between Phoebe’s persuasion and pleading eyes, she finally gave in, “Alright, but I haven’t fully recovered yet. I can’t walk too much.”
“Don’t worry. I’ve got it all planned out. I won’t tire you out. If I did, your hubby would kill me.”
Ines shared a lingering glance with Ethan before reluctantly entering into Phoebe’s car. Seeing her like this, Phoebe could not help but tease her, “Chill out, it’s not like I’m separating you two. I’m just taking you to buy some clothes. I’ll bring you right back soon. You’re acting like it’s a big deal.” Ines leaned back in her seat, with a smile on her face that she couldn’t quite hide. “Gosh, this feeling is so strange. I can’t believe I married the man of my dreams. We even have a boy and a girl. Every time I think about it these past few days, I feel this indescribable surge of excitement and fulfillment.”
“What, not jealous of Leila anymore?” Phoebe shot Ines a glance.
Hearing the name Leila again, Ines felt truly at peace. There was no unease in her heart now. “No need. I believe Ethan loves me the most.”
“That’s the Ines I know, always so confident.” Seeing Ines like this, Phoebe couldn’t help but feel genuinely happy for her.
