He stood and moved to his desk, picking up his phone to make a call. I ate in silence, watching him from the corner of my eye. The way he sat Shoulders squared and back straight, exuded power. Even angry, he was magnificent. I found myself staring at his hands as he tapped at his phone, remembering how those same hands had held me just hours ago.

“Your brother just returned home,” Derek added. “You should spend time with him.”
