‘Hey!‘ Kira protested when he bit her other earlobe. ‘Austyn!‘ 

He clamped both hands on her waist, hoisted her off her feet and carried her to the king–size bed. Kira was tossed onto the sheets.

Kira grabbed the headboard for support and slowly sat up. 

She covered herself with the quilt. 

Her clothes lay on the floor, torn to shreds.

Kira stared at him, shocked.

His suit jacket was open, revealing a crumpled shirt. 

He had not taken off his clothes earlier.

‘What did I tell you?‘ Austyn s stared down at her. ‘Did I not tell you to stay away from him? Did you get a sudden case of amnesia? Or did you turn a deaf ear to everything I said?” 

Now Kira knew who had gotten his goat. 

If this were any other time, she would have felt offended by his accusatory tone.. 

But today, a guilty conscience held her back. 

Not guilt over having done anything with Liam–she hadn’t. 

But she had seen Gideon today, and the things he did…
