Atticus listened carefully as Quiet Flame told him about the concepts of the other gods.
Unfortunately, of the three gods he suspected had concepts, Quiet Flame was only able to tell him about two: the Vortharion god and the Gharnyz god. That left the Somnera god.
"I reckon it has something to do with the dead. Unfortunately, she didn’t show her concept during her battles," Quiet Flame explained.
Atticus sank into a deep contemplation. ’It’s better than nothing,’ he thought, reassuring himself. It couldn’t be helped that her concept hadn’t been revealed.
’I hope I don’t run into her until the end of the Virelenna then.’ There was nothing more dangerous than fighting an unknown opponent, especially with the will related issue he had just uncovered.
If her concept turned out to be a bad matchup for his, it would be disastrous.
"You have to tread carefully, Atticus," Quiet Flame said, his tone more serious than before. "You knowing their concepts means they know yours too. They’ll be prepared."
Atticus nodded with a grim gaze. He had no intention of taking them lightly in the first place.
"Anything else I should know?" he asked after a second.
"Yes," Quiet Flame nodded. "About the god you killed, can you feel his world?"
’As expected, that’s what that feeling was.’ Atticus had felt something tug at his being the moment he killed Dronvet and absorbed his will.
He had his suspicions but planned to ask Quiet Flame later, but the hidden rule distracted him.
"Yes. I can feel something," he admitted.
"You’ve become the god of his world," Quiet Flame said. "The Virelenna forbids gods from using their world’s will to avoid being dragged into the arena of the gods, but killing one and absorbing their will grants you their world will. And in turn, their world."
Atticus pondered for a moment. "But this feels different from when I became Eldoralth’s god. Even the Zorvan world. It’s like it’s there... but I can’t reach it? Does that make sense?"
"Yes. I understand perfectly," Quiet Flame replied. "That’s because the world you gained is from another star. You’ll only be able to access it after the Virelenna, when the Star releases it."
"Iron Crown," Atticus muttered.
"Yes," Quiet Flame said, and even he couldn’t hide the smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. He couldn’t wait to see Iron Crown’s face when he handed over the world.
’Another strength gain,’ Quiet Flame thought. Any worlds added to Atticus’ dominion would amplify his strength, and this wasn’t just any world. It was one that had reached the cap of the lower planes.
"Alright," Atticus exhaled, glancing around the room.
"Anyone else got a question?"
Silence.
Then a calm, stoic voice broke it.
"Can I fight him?"
All heads turned toward Aric, who was staring at Quiet Flame with burning intensity. His battle intent leaked out in waves.
Everyone blinked.
