After comforting the two children, the entire family sat down together and finished their meal.

Once they were done with their meal, the entire family sat down and started watching the television. Bai Zhan was watching the news reports as the rain hadn’t stopped and was not showing any signs of stopping. Seeing the situation, Bai Zhan couldn’t help but worry about the future.

The news that was being shown on the television was about Cloud City. According to the news reporter, there were troubles in Cloud City; as per the reports, a few tourists went to the mountain region for hiking and as a result, the entire group of tourists went missing!

Their families were trying to search for them but they couldn’t find even the smallest trace of these people who disappeared.

Thunder clapped outside in the sky, leaving a harsh glare on Bai Meiyue’s face.

While taking her vitamins, Bai Meiyue glanced at the news report. It was obvious that there was something more going on at Cloud City, but the news was being controlled really harshly. If not for the fact that Cloud City was really big and it was impossible to suppress such big news.

But Bai Meiyue had to admit that the officials had done a really good job in suppressing the information. If not for the fact that Bai Meiyue had already experienced the tragedy of living, even she would have never sensed that something was amiss.

Even though she was miles away from Cloud City, Bai Meiyue could still smell the scent of blood and rotting corpses because she knew that those tourists who went missing were most likely dead!

For a moment, Bai Meiyue, despite knowing everything, panicked. It was as if she was back in the times where the zombies and mutated animals were already running rampant. She knew that the world was going to end but with this news making it to the television channels, the thoughts that she had in her mind slowly turned into reality.

After thinking about it a little, Bai Meiyue once again snuck out of the house and went to the supermarket, where she bought the clothes for children, including books and toys.

She also brought some frozen meat and milk powder.

Along that, she also brought self-heating hot pots, water purifiers, creams, laundry detergent, facial cleanser, small fans, candles, torches, drones, telescopes, night vision goggles, toilet paper, and sanitary napkins.

Aside from that, she also brought tablets, shoes, sleds, and speedboats.

She also bought more gasoline, fuel, and oil containers and used the connections that she had snatched from Lu Ling to get her hands on some bulletproof vests.

With her hands on the steering wheel, she turned the car to the left and was heading towards the farmer’s market to buy some vegetables and some fruit seeds that she could grow at home when her phone started ringing.

She looked down at the string of numbers and frowned because she did not recognise this number. Just as she was hesitating whether to pick up this call or not, her heart suddenly started feeling a bit tense, which led to her answering the call,

"Meiyue!"
