“Are you done talking?” I looked at Alexander with complete calm, my heart surprisingly undisturbed despite his desperate confession.

Alexander instinctively rejected this reality, shaking his head vigorously.

Alexander’s expression grew increasingly uncomfortable as I spoke.

“So tell me,” I looked directly at him, my gaze unwavering. “If I still liked you as much as before, after hearing everything you just said, could I possibly refuse you?”

The logic was undeniable.

“My previous love for you was real,” I said with quiet finality. “And my current disinterest in you is also real.” Alexander’s hands clenched into tight fists repeatedly. They tightened until his knuckles went white, then suddenly loosened, only to clench again.

“Even if you say all this, I won’t change my mind,” he declared with frightening intensity.

His amber eyes burned with obsessive determination.

“Aria Summers, you are mine. You will be mine for life, and I will never let you go.”

The possessive statement sent chills down my spine.

I walked straight to the apartment door and pulled it open wide.

“You can leave now,” I stated firmly. “You’re not welcome here, and don’t come back again, or I’ll call the

Alexander casually put one hand back in his pocket. His lips curved into a faint, unsettling smile.

“Aria, I’ll make you come looking for me,” he said with chilling confidence.

The threat in his voice made my wolf whimper anxiously.

“Go. Now.”

Alexander’s long legs carried him toward the exit with deliberate slowness.

But he paused abruptly as he reached the threshold, turning back to look at me one final time.

“I’ll wait for your call,” he said with absolute certainty.

With those ominous words, he finally walked out.

I slammed the door shut with such force that it echoed through the hallway. The sound felt satisfying, but my

anger remained.

My wolf was whimpering anxiously from the entire confrontation, sensing the danger Alexander now represented.

What he had said before leaving made my heart inexplicably uneasy.

I knew Alexander well enough to understand he was never one to make empty threats. If he dared to utter such harsh words, he must have something concrete planned.

She immediately moved to the main door, pulled it open, and peered outside into the empty hallway. “Why did you let Alexander leave?” she asked urgently, her voice filled with disappointment. “Aunt Sophia, please don’t get involved in my business with him,” I said tiredly.

“How can I not get involved?” my aunt frowned deeply. “With Alexander’s Alpha status and bloodline, what kind of she–wolf can’t he have?”

Her voice rose with frustration.

“It’s such an incredible opportunity that he’s offering to re–mark you! Why did you chase him away like that?”

Aunt Sophia suddenly raised her hand and patted my arm with obvious exasperation.

“You’re being completely foolish!” she exclaimed. “Now that you’ve severed your mate bond, finding another good Alpha will be harder than climbing to heaven!”

Her lecture continued relentlessly.

“It’s better to reconcile with someone like Alexander. Not only is he handsome and wealthy, but more importantly, you already know his bloodline and character.”

I felt my patience wearing dangerously thin.

“Besides, I can see that he’s sincerely repenting for his mistakes,” she pressed on. “And anyway, you can’t blame Alexander entirely for your mother’s incident. It was all that scheming she–wolf Claire’s fault!”

“Aunt Sophia!” I interrupted sharply.

Hearing her increasingly outlandish remarks made my pregnant wolf restless with stress.

“Enough. I’m tired and want to rest,” I said firmly. “You should go to bed early too.”

“You should think about it more carefully,” she continued stubbornly. “They say a reformed Alpha is worth more than gold. Opportunities like this are incredibly rare!”

I ignored my aunt completely. I turned away and walked directly back to my bedroom.

The moment I closed the door behind me, I let out a deep sigh of relief.

Regardless of everything else, I would definitely send my aunt’s family back tomorrow. If they stayed any longer, I feared I would be driven completely mad by their interference.

I lay down on my bed and stared blankly at the ceiling for several long minutes.

Remembering that I had promised to go somewhere with Dominic tomorrow, I reached up and turned off the

bedside light.
