He gritted his teeth and whipped his head at the slaves. "Attack him!" he yelled, "Everyone!"
"Citizens, step over the slaves if you have to!"
At this, the mob of people started running towards Garan. With sheer numbers, it was impossible for Garan to freeze them and it was also impossible for him to stab them all!
Eagle and the others wanted to go there, but then Garan created a narrow ice platform at least three meters high, lifting himself up.
The two ice shards remained in the lower elevation though, attacking indiscriminately, causing most enemies there to run away.
On the other hand, the slaves were forced by the orders to keep attacking regardless of their lives. However, merely touching the ice pillar could cause painful frostbite!
The ice shards started rotating at a larger radius, farther away from the slaves and towards the actual citizens.
"DAMNIT!"
"Get away!"
"ORCSHIT!"
The citizens instinctively wanted to run away, of course, though they ended up heading straight to the other enemies or towards the walls, where they'd be taken out by someone else!
Killic wanted to curse.
SOMEONE STOP THIS GUY ALREADY!!
...
Meanwhile, while their captain was doing his best, the rest of them naturally weren't holding back. Garan was literally in the middle of the crowd while they had their backs covered in contrast. It would be a shame to kill less than he did!
As the war went on for another half an hour, and the Alterra guards realized that some of the enemy's injured would go to the back of the crowd, and some of them would return relatively recovered.
Curious, someone in the battlement sent an aether letter to the observatory to check what was going on, and they received news a minute later.
Apparently, the injured elites would run back a certain distance and they would receive some health and mana potions from a line of slaves. Their equipment would also likely be replaced.
"They seem to have a line of supply from the array to the battlefield," someone reported. They had directed their large observatory in the direction of the array, eventually getting a clear view amidst all of the chaos.
There was, apparently, a line of slaves who were passing resource after resource to the front lines, stopping just beyond the scope of the sentries.
This was definitely Fargo's idea, and they definitely prepared warehouses-full of resources for this war.
However, that didn't matter. Alterrans were confident their production lines was far superior than these guys'! This was their pride.
It didn't mean they'd make this easier for them though~
The enemy thought they were being subtle, but since they had a clearer view of where the supply line was, they could just send more bombed paper balloons their way.
The bombs were just village-level bombs, but it was enough! They'd be happy as long as they disrupted another one of the enemy's (especially Fargo's) plans!
