After Surviving the Apocalypse, I Built a City in Another World novel Chapter 1393

Chapter 1393: More Babies!

Ansel wrapped an arm around his wife’s shoulder, giving her a sound smooch. "Well, you love me anyway."

Winona scoffed. "Unfortunately."

The two continued their flirty banter at the side as they held the baby with one hand, and everyone else could only roll their eyes.

Anyway, a few days after Liam was born, Caleb—Juni and Victor’s son—came out of this world.

He was also very cute, and inherited his mother’s brown locks and, according to Henry, who ran to Alterra when he received news that Juni was going to labor, his father’s features.

Caleb’s name carried the meaning of ’faithful’. They wished for him to become healthy and strong so that he could maintain and fight for whatever he believed in.

Cassandra looked at everyone settled in and smiled. Then she shifted to look at her baby daughter in her husband’s arms.

Claire, in fact, was born prematurely. It was not long after she received some news from home, but she ignored it despite feeling complicated. The next thing she knew, she was having contractions and she knew she was giving birth.

She was not due for another 2 months...

She remembered crying so much at the time, wondering if she was being punished for abandoning her family.

Fortunately, according to the doctor, the child being born 2 months in advance was better than being born a month later.

This was unheard of and incomprehensible to her, but when Claire really recovered a week later, she really believed it.

Her baby was just born, and she was already a miracle.

This was the theme of today’s gathering: Miracles and Gifts.

The celebration was held in the combined gardens of the Gaea Team, which was pretty much known as the Gaea Estate.

It was a level 2 system garden, and with the improved fertilizers, a lot of the plants had already sprouted, and some were even standing tall already.

The party was like a post-birth baby shower, and they had a "meet the baby" theme wherein the babies would be introduced one by one and the guests would bring gifts to the newborns and give their wishes.

For the wishes, there were also porcelain jars with the baby’s names on them.

"This is the wish jar," Althea said, pointing at the differently designed jars with cover. "You can write down your wishes for the babies and they will open it when they’re old enough."

By old enough, it would probably be in their tweens.

The parents and their kids had their own tables in the front, with the porcelain placed in front of the tables. Most of the guests would admire the babies before placing the messages there, congratulating the happy couples as well.

A single sentence message was not allowed, and neither were generic messages, so all the adults in attendance were forced to think of their wishes for the children.

It was a fun event and a heartwarming one, with the best wishes from the heart, sincerely hoping for the children to grow up nicely and in a wonderful environment.

"This is nice," Eagle said with a smile as he inserted the rolls of messages in each jar. He looked at his wife, who did the same.

His eyes shifted to her stomach, which was showing quite a bit of a bulge now. Sheila was still on her first trimester. "I wonder if it’s a boy or a girl.

This meant that, for higher level individuals, although it would universally be more difficult to conceive, their chances of success increased slightly if they mated within the same level range. (It was also why Garan and Althea rarely used birth control except when she was ovulating, ahem).
