You're Not My Mate novel Chapter 32

"My deal is, that we protect eachother till the final round, primarily so we can have the satisfaction of killing each other." He offered. I think about it for a couple minutes, debating if it was a good deal for me.

"Fine. But, this is more beneficial for you, as I have beat mostly everyone in the games. Once we hit a point when we can kill each other you are dead." I state. He chuckles, and nods. I step back into my room as he picks up his weapons.

"Great now I can't sleep anymore." I grumble. I get dressed in my games outfit. Once I'm done getting dressed I walk out into the arena to get my dosage of wolfs bane. Sean isn't here so they had to get my father to hold me as they injected me. Logan was bound to the wall by magic straps, casted by me, while he was being injected. The whole time he was stairing at me, this made the other contestants weary in fear that a fight would break out.

"Ok everyone get in a grid formation! The games are about to start!" The announcer shouted. I released Logan from the bounds, and got in my place in the front row of the grid. Logan was besides, I felt the boys presence looking at me from the balcony. I also felt Logan slightly lean towards me although he didn't let it get noticed by others.

"Don't forget about our deal, love." He reminded me.

"Don't call me that, my name is Violet." I gritted out. I could tell he was smirking as I said that.

"I will see you after the game tonight, princess." He smirked. It left me slightly baffled, I quickly recovered. I jumped from the tree, crouching on the ground. I used my slightly weaker wolf hearing to sense if anyone was approaching. Thanks to my injections in training Destiny is not as effected by it than she would normally be.

It was three minutes into the killing timezone that I heard someone approach I stood up, summoning a dagger. A lesser known demon walked into my view, not noticing me yet. I smirked, deciding to play around a bit. I approached him, he stiffened readying for attack. I raised my hands in surrender, dropping my dagger, and folding my wings in. He relaxed. I drew closer to him. He backed away with every step I took forward untill he backed against a tree. I smirked, and caged him, I looked in his eyes to see fear, lust, respect, and awe. I leaned in just a bit, he leaned in too. I love doing this, it gets the crowd going, plus it make the person I'm about to kill pretty much worshipped. It's rare that I will kiss my victim before I kill them but, I want to please the crowd right now, and annoy the shit out of Sean and Alex. I close the gap between our lips, closing my eyes summoning a dagger, and readying my self to stab him. Just as he comes out of shock and starts to kiss back I stab him in the heart. I pull back as he gasps, the crowd erupted into cheers, I heard a growl as well.

"Thanks..." Was the last thing the demon said before slumping to the ground. I pulled my dagger from him, carved a wolfs head into the fleash of his forehead, and let the dagger dissipate into nothing. The carving of a wolfs head is my signature in the games, everyone of my victims has it. I decided to go on the hunt for my next victim. I flew up into the air, above the forest. I looked around me spotting Logan to my right, he looked at me. We had a stairing contest for a few minutes. You could cut the tension with a katana.
